AFK LP loss idea

So I have been trying to climb for a while and I've been for the most part successful however I recently encountered someone that went afk from level 1 and never reconnected. I had lost 21 LP from this and honestly that is quite a bit because I was just about to get into a series and we lost due to this one person and 21 LP takes 2 games to get back usually. So i thought that if you have an AFK maybe you could reduce the LP loss because it really helps people who are trying to climb that get afks and I feel like it would have a positive impact on the game. If you can't find a way to do this it's ok but I really do feel a lot of players that are climbing would enjoy the change.
