There are many skill shots and gap closers that can be fired from outside of the natural viewing window of a summoner. I am suggestion backing of the view (zooming out) so that players can see more of their map in their main window. The way it is now, we have to be looking at our mini-map to spot someone that is right on the borders of our own lane. players would be less "tunnel visioned" if the tunnel was a little bigger. Doesn't that seem fair?

I thought you were gonna suggest banning all bronzes.

^ that too. I barely made the cut

I mean for every large gap closer, you can see them coming.

Bard You can see the back end of the tunnel Corki Has a siren that goes off when his improved w is being used. Ekko Has a little ghost Lissandra Has a little claw indicator Pantheon Has a really big circle that sits for like 4 seconds before he shows up Nocturne DAAAAAARKNEEEEEESSSS RekSai Loud global screech and particle effect from tunnel Shen Sound and big shield Sion Global sound TahmKench Indicator Vi Circle and indicator on your champion TwistedFate Card indicator Zac Literally the only one with no indicator

Does any of this deny the fact that a larger window would help players see more? plus there are a lot of sounds and lights going on all around champions at all times. I at least have to admit that I miss those sometimes. If you include all champions with skill shots and gap closers of any range the list of non-indicators increases substantially and that is what I'm really talking about.

I guess its just a change thats not really needed or essential. If it aint broke dont fix it.

Yeah but they're a lot shorter and any amount of prediction will be able to see it coming. If they come from the side then it's your fault for not warding.

but even in the case where it is warded I may not be looking at my mini map in that instant so i basically can't see them coming. especially when I am trying to secure a kill or CSing. Seems like the only way to prevent it is to be staring at your mini map the whole time. i wanted to cut down on that necessity.

You should be glancing at your minimap every 7 seconds or so. Not riot's fault if you have poor map awareness.

7 seconds is a long time. Gank is over at that point. so unless your answer is "glance at your map every second" than its not really poor map awareness more than it is paying attention to what your doing at the moment. With that said I actually do have poor map awareness but thats my issue.

I think the mandatory window size has to do more with the resolution of monitors than anything else. A lot of people play on 1366x768 laptop screens. A more zoomed out screen would be tough to play without sacrificing image quality and Riot wants to keep everyone on a fairly even scale.

I did notice that too. do we know if that is the resolution that will give you the maximum scale?
