Damage Reduction Stacking

I'm wondering how damage reduction stacking works, whether it stacks multiplicative or additive. For example, a build I like to go on Yi is Skirmisher's Bloodrazor, Phantom Dancer, Ninja Tabi, Randuin's, Maw, IE. Lots of damage, but surprisingly tanky.

That's 20% damage reduction from Challenging Smite, 12% damage reduction from Lament, 12% AA damage reduction from Tabi, and 10% crit damage reduction from Omen. Let's say I'm getting auto attacked by a 100% crit ADC; does that mean that I have 54% damage reduction against those auto attacks (disregarding armor & arm pen)?

These game mechanics should be so much easier to figure out, but Riot has always been pretty shitty about making them readily available and understandable.

It's multiplicative. so (1-0.2)x(1-0.12)x(1-0.12)x(1-0.1)=0.8x0.88x0.88x0.9=0.557568 Which is about 44% damage reduction total.

But I definitely agree, it should be easier to figure out.

Nope.

If an auto does 100 damage, the challenging smite will take off 20% from it.

So now you have 80 damage left. THEN lament takes 12% of 80 (not 100), so you have 70.4 damage left.

Then Tabi takes 12% off that, and you have 62 damage left. Then Omen takes 10% from 62, and you have 55 damage left.

All that stuff took away 45 out of 100 damage, so about 45% damage reduction.
