Ranked Promos idea
So recently I was in my promos to get into S5 which I lost, then I got back into them, lost again, got demoted to b2, got into b1 promos, lost again (as you can tell I went on extreme tilt). Now I didn't do my best in some of these games each time I actually did progressively worse because of the tilt. I know I could've done better but I know I wasn't the sole reason, it was also my teammates who wouldn't listen sometimes , "We need a tankier jg" - "No yi jg will be fine" (you can tell how that went).
Now where does all this come into play with the my idea because right now it seems like a rant - so here it is.
In those games I was the only one in promos for anything, the rest of my team was not whatsoever. But in reality the players in their promos should be placed against other people in their promos. I know that they usually will place you against higher people to test if you can handle that skill level, but if you have people in their promos vs other people in their promos, its makes sense, the better of the two sides will win so they deserve to be placed higher up then the others. You have people at roughly the same skill level competing to rank up. Placing players against higher level people does make sense to a degree, I will agree on this. But some of these tiers have big difference in skill. It is just more logical to go with promos v promos, this is also just a hypothesis but I have a feeling that could fix Leagues bell curve also (as a vast majority of players are in bronze when a proper bell curve would have he majority around gold 3).
People as well also might feel more inclined to push themselves as they would be vsing people at the same skill level, so they know the games wont be a complete shutout.
The only main issue I see with this is that in higher elo's it may be a bit more difficult to find such games of promos v promos. But if my hypothesis earlier proves to be correct then it wouldn't be a big issue
So in summary: Ranked games should be promos v promos not promos v non promos
