Is there any point in thornmail anymore?

from my experience i sitem seem to be useless now. everytime i build this item against a team that is vary ad and auto attack reliant teams and all of them just completely ignore thorns simply by building last whisper and one life steal item. Then i look at frozen heart and it adds almost as much armor as thorns has cooldown reduction and mana with an aura that decreases attack speed. Am i just missing the point of thorns or is it actually no longer relevant anymore

beyond extreme nieche cases where the enemy is building massive attack speed/on hit and youre malphite whos stacking 450 armor, no. they trashed the item as a counter against adc with i.e. apparantly thats what randuins is supposed to be for, but its not enough.

it used to be good on its own. right now its only useful if you go for a massive 6 item armor build and youre fighting a purely attack speed focused adc. so maybe 1/50 games.

yupp, it is useless...even when you´re fighting a full ad-comp and manage to stack armor in every slot you´re probably better of getting sth. else to deal dmg or survive the supports magic.

It was previously pretty nice as a stand-alone armor item to take a bit of the bite out of auto-attackers.

Now it's a piece of shit.

Build literally anything else.

It is relevant, Taric, Mundo, their are a lot of champions who benefit from it, mostly the tanky ones

It is only really good on rammus but that's the only champion.

Rammus, Taric, Malphite... Could be decent vs Yasuo, Trynda, Yi, Trist etc to reduce some of their lifesteal.

I agree, every time i've taken it since the change I've regretted it. Really sucks when the other team has a fed ADC, your ADC sucks, and you no longer have a counter
