Why are the base towers so pathetically sad.

After they ramp up they do hurt pretty bad but that takes like 6 days. I believe Riot did this so that tower diving is more dangerous but it seems safer now.

I agree that the turrets take too long to ramp, but I think the main issue with the turrets is that they don't clear out minion waves fast enough. They feel slower than they used to.

I think it would be cool if the lasers chained twice, the primary target taking full dmg, the second target taking 50% dmg, and the 3rd target taking 25% dmg.

Because champion scaling is ridiculously overtuned right now. By the time they reach those turrets they might as well not exist. The laser focus thing is retarded too.

They wanted to deter Yi, Trynd, Trundle, etc. from just building 1 armor item and tanking it. For that, the change works incredible well. Over the ~10-15 seconds it takes them to chunk the tower solo, it will have done massively more damage.

However.

Over the 3-5 seconds it takes Fiora, Kat, or any other glass cannon to 100-0 you, the damage is paltry at best.

I've been on the receiving end of a Fiora that tanked the turret for a full 5 seconds to get a double kill. Without burning ult. I can't complaining about getting killed by the 15/0/0 (or some odd number) Fiora. I'm sure as hell going to complain abut her walking away with 3/4's of her health bar intact.

because the turret is basically the exact same damage it was before.

Just a imma firin mah lazor Also the sound hurt my ears the first time I heard it.

The Inhibitor turrets NEED THEIR OLD PROJECTILES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LASERS. The issue is simply that the new lasers don't do enough, are too slow to save the turret from even minions (let alone a scaled champion) and are not good. Period. The Nexus turrets could use AoE damage because I'm tired of watching minions destroy my Nexus while we try to kill the other team.

The just have to remove the buildup from the laser & let them start add full damage.

These do less damage than before, unless its a quickly pushed game.

If the base turrets and nexus turrets for that matter were any stronger, every game would be an hour...F that! The turrets are fine for laning but this is a pvp based game, I wouldn't want it any other way. :)

Yeah those changes to curb split pushing are working out really well.

Wait... they were trying to STOP splitpushing? It's more popular than ever!

PoisonedPeace1 votes

I guess they forgot that there were more than 20 champs and some might be able to split push better with new changes.

Yeah base turrets are pathetic, funny how the barely kill minions let alone a player.

they should add a insta kill projectile (older tower power/particles) if the target is below x% of health, their is nothing more frustrating than seeing a near death mobile champion go in and out multiple time of tower range to kill your team just because the beam need to ramp up

SecretAgentHulk1 votes

I suspect they nerfed them a little bit to add the slow, so if they turned the slow into extra damage when no friendly champion is in turret range, that might compensate well without nerfing split-pushers too hard.

Personally, the only thing I like about them is the slow. I can pull someone in as Blitz, knock them up, and still get several attacks in before they escape because they were slowed by the tower. But yeah unless someone is under them for 5 seconds it won't do jack shit. Damage needs to ramp up quicker, or maybe do %maxhealth per second if they want to punish tanking turrets.

It's the difference between burst and dps, noobs usually don't understand it and call Cass weak.
