Miss Fortune "R" Change Idea

So here's my idea for Miss Fortune's Ult. In the current meta and state of the game Miss Fortune is a sub par pick in pretty much every phase/elo/level of the game. Mobility creep has taken over the game, and the existence of so many Assassin type characters makes an Immobile ADC like Miss Fortune extremely vulnerable, and pretty much a bad pick in almost any match. Not to mention the fact she will never see competitive play EVER in her current state.

Alot of this is tied into her Ultimate. Its a 2 second Channel that fires a Cone of Bullets in the direction she's facing.

Think about that, 2 solid seconds of standing still channeling an ability that leaves her wide open for any attack, skill shot, gap closer, etc, etc. leaving her a sitting duck.

My idea goes something like this, Change her ult in the following ways,

Her ult now summons a Ships Cannon that fires her cone ult in the direction she was facing at the time of cast. This would leave Miss Fortune free to move around and continue attacking, which would greatly bolster her ability to survive engagements and contribute to team fights.

Considering the state of mobility in the game, and Miss Fortune's lack of any type of escape, I think this change could bring her back up to a competitive level.

funny thing if you made her passive strut permenant MF still couldnt out run or catch a kalista, yet it is important that riot ensures it has ZERO combat impact hue hue hue. Ya is alot you could do to make MF viable but riot cant balance for shit, as one of the most immoble champs in the game you should get a pretty big pay off in some way? Nainstead you get bonus gimping as we make your ult do magic dmg because you know all that magic pen you got on an ADC.

Lets also make double up useless trivialharass instead of somethign you can use to snag a kill to provide an alternative mode of play for not having mobility to just valkeryie up and get the kill, and then lets make something as lousy as make it rain take half your mana bar while ez spams abilties the entire lane never going oom.

I agree with the problem, and it is sad to see a champ like MF get so little play. Her kit just looks like so much fun, with the quirky scaling and all.

But I don't think this is the solution. Yeah, you get the mobility back. And you prevent it from just being a huge cone of Lucian-esque death. But the idea of summoning a stationary (targetable?) cannon to just do damage in a cone seems really boring to me. There's no risk for MF. She could just lay it down and run away. Like an ADC Heimerdinger. It'd just be no fun.

I do applaud the creative thinking, though. Upvoted for seeing the problem and pressing the discussion.

What if, instead of channelling, she was fixed in her chosen direction (like Lucian) and was slowed (like Varus charging Q)?

In the meantime, I still don't think she's a bad pick, if you get a team that can protect you.

Her make it rain ability sucks and need to be revamped into something else, the channel is a hinderance, the slow is garbage until very late game and the damage in so low.

Also her passive deactivation by creeps limits her lane presence.

If I were to buff her I'd start with those two traits first before messing with her ult.

I agree in her Make it Rain ability. As it currently is, it does VERY little for her kit. If you build her as ADC, it doesn't do enough damage really to assist in wave clear/last hitting if your getting harassed. Plus it takes SO much mana, if you spam it you'll go OOM very fast. On top of that, the slow portion is Only active in the channels that a Champ is actually Hit by. To start it off I think if a champ takes damage from Make it rain, they need to be affected by the full duration of the slow, make it standard, 1.5 or 2 secs. Also lower the mana cost, Give it appropriate utility since they won't allow it to do decent damage.

And her passive De-activation by creeps is something else that bugs me. Why can Garen have his passive immune to creep breakage from lvl 9 on, But Miss Fortune's passive still gets broken by random caster creeps saying HI to her. :-/
