Thematic Accuracy
Okay, first off before anyone ask I understand that this is a GAME. Logic, Physics, moderate levels of "realism" do not apply in a fantasy game where people throw Fire out of their hands, or boomerang axes across a map, and any other number of such things. But there are some things that "bug" the crap out of me.
Okay, Thematic accuracy is in my opinion very important to a game like this. I understand abilities like Sivir's spell shield, which block all abilities/spells thrown at her for its duration. It's a "shield" it's thematically correct.
There are things I question for their accuracy, like Yasuo's "wind wall", so your telling me this gust of air, is going to stop bullets, rockets, and all other manner of massive or tiny projectiles from reaching through the wall, REGARDLESS of which direction they are shot at it. Forwards or Backwards..... Okay, I can sort of semi buy that as Thematically accurate. (Honestly I think it should only block projectiles from the Outward side of where he cast it.
Then there are things like Fiora's RIPOSTE. This is the point RIOT threw thematic accuracy OUT THE DOOR and said to heck with it we don't care.Fiora's Riposte is an invulnerability period that roots her in place temporarily. I have NO problem with what it does, but the fact that it does not matter which freaking way she's pointing truly bugs the ever living crap out of me. If Fiora has the ability to outplay me, so be it, but atleast make her hav eto cast the spell in the right direction... There's no logical reason, she can be running away from me, cast Riposte AWAY from me, so her sword is away from me, and she's mooning, and I'm stabbing her in the ass with my sword, but apparently, she's got very nimble butt cheeks because she's parrying my attacks with her butt cheeks.
If Fiora's riposte is a complete invulnerability, atleast make it so it blocks the direction she if facing, like Braum's shield, not just all around because like I said, that makes ZERO Thematical sense or accuracy to me.
