I main adc and need help on how to play the game better. I watch a bunch of youtube videos but when i try to do the things it says I either get all ined when poking or my support dies trying to help me. Then it spirals out of controll. If i do go even in lane my team cant really help cause they are having a hard time.

I have been loosing a lot of games and i really need someone to point me in the right dirrection. Every youtube video tells me the same thing but I dont know where to start and the video doesnt really tell me where I Start.

If you're just looking for tips on laning, here are some things you can do to win your trades (These apply to all lanes, not just adc):

  • Watch cooldowns: When you see enemy Ezreal use q on farm, look for trades when the ability is down.
  • Sneak in Auto Attacks: Try hard to sneak in auto attacks when you know the enemy can't return them. This is easier if you outrange them, but if you're able to watch and target them when they go to last-hit a creep, you can get some nice chips in before you fight.
  • Abuse Damage Advantages: I originally wanted to name this bullet point "Item/Level Advantages," but even with those you still need to be careful. One of the most surefire ways to win your all-ins is by picking fights when you know the enemy is a level below you (especially level 6), or when they're missing an item you have.

You said above that you have trouble getting all-ined when you go to poke, and that your support dies when they go to help. This sounds like you're having trouble judging your enemy laner's capabilities, so it may help you to poke around online or on youtube to get a better insight into matchups. I definitely don't mean to be condescending (don't have the ELO for that), but having a good idea of your enemy and your abilities means that you can be sure ahead of time what's likely to happen.

Another tip is to try playing many different ADCs, instead of picking one to main. Many people decide that they want to play one champion until they're gods (cough cough vayne mains cough), which is a fine approach... But the best way to know what your enemy can do is to have played them for a bit and know yourself.

I hope these tips are helpful, and if you really are looking for someone to spec your games, shoot me a friend request. I have no "uptime schedule," but I'd be happy to take a look if I see you online.

Good luck in the future, and happy climbing

Have you tried looking at your own replays? There are many sites and programs that offer a replay recording service that you can use to watch your own gameplay and pick out areas for you to practice and improve on.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I play many adc's each different enough to fit a team comp and to counter the enemy laner. I feel it's futile when my support picks their favorite champ. Like how when I was going to play Cait but the enemy had a sivir and a raka so I picked Lucian and my support picked sona instead of Alistair.

The real trouble I'm having is going even in lane. If I'm not comfortable with my support I just farm up. But if my support dies trying to make a play and we are not on the same page even tho I tell them to care it really bothers me. I like to be ahead in lane. But if the risk is too great with my support that might lack the proper engage it could go downhill. Instead I wait for the enemies to make a mistake. Well they do make mistakes but since my support has probably died a couple times lost the idea of engaging and doesn't back me up when a noticeable mistake happens. And if my team has a hard time in lane and I can't balance it out in my lane I feel hopeless especially if I'm an early game champ that basic lyrics tried to 1v2 in the bottom lane cause of my lacking support. By all means I made a lot of mistakes and I have cost my teammates the game before and I'm working on that. But I want to control more of the uncontrollable if you know what I mean.
