How to improve while playing against people a division above you?

So in the new flex q, I got placed in silver 5 from gold 5 after going 5-5. Recently, I have been placed against almost entirely platinum players in flex q, and was wondering how I can play against them well. I fully admit I am not that good of a player, but I am looking to improve, and want to know if there is anything I can learn specifically by playing against players at a division higher ranking than me.

-FYI: -I generally play mid lane now, and can stay even in cs for the first 10 minutes but then I usually get killed and then fall behind pretty bad

Flex queue is a party. I'm in my promos to gold V, and my games consist almost exclusively of diamonds and high plats.

To your point though, playing with better players is probably one of the best ways to improve. Whether you're conscious of it or not, you'll eventually begin to recognise when they can all in you sucessfully, and be more cautious around those points, and even more subtly you might pick up on when/how they trade and poke and cs and generally position themselves in lane.

In an ideal world you'll end up playing against champions you play yourself, and then you can learn via osmosis champion specific stuff you can then try to apply in your own games. (And maybe then the better players will counterplay that, and then you'll know how to deal with it when you're facing it yourself, and repeat that until you get to super high elo.)

watch you're game replays for sure on mistakes and things you could improve on.

You don't improve, you just do a little less worse every day.
