Nidalee Player... looking for suggestions for new champion to main...

I'm less than 30 days into the game, and have acquired close to about 50% of the champions, and Nidalee is my favorite out of all the champions(mobility, long range damage, heal, and ability to clean up)... but come late game... when the MR starts being built... I'm a bit #$%##ed.. I can hit my spears with relative consistency... but I have no presence in teamfights, and I want a character that isn't completely nullified after the team starts stacking Banshee Veil's and Spirit Armour. Anyone have any suggestions for another champion, who has some of the benefits of Nidalee... but more of a team presence?

Or perhaps I should start getting Void Staffs and Magic Pen earlier?
