Kha-zix: the champion you cannot truly enjoy

Kha6 is shaping up to be one of my favorite champs. I love how well his concept was executed, and because of that, I hate how restricted I am in using him.

Kha6's potential can only be reached if there is an enemy Rengar in a game. In an ever increasing champion pool, the chances of reaching ~~Scyther's~~ Kha's potential is diminishing. There has to be a better alternative to gating the bug.

Possible alternatives:

slaying X neutral monsters
killing X unique champions
a powerup that appears on the field after X time, can be negated by enemy team

These are just ideas, but I really would like to start a conversation with some Reds to see if there is any possibility something could be done.

I used to main him top lane, since he was so fun to play, then Riot decided that having fun is not supposed to be a part of league.

So they nerfed his Q dmg to hell, then buffed his W dmg, so he was at least viable mid lane.

They then buffed his Q dmg, but nerfed the isolation dmg + isolation range + w dmg

They then nerfed his Q dmg, but buffed the isolation dmg a little bit + isolation range

And then they left him to rot.

Same thing happened to the old Gragas, he wasn't viable ANYWHERE for at least 2 months when they nerfed him

Trying to have a talk about Kha'Zix is impossible. You're lucky to get any form of attention on the topic. I've been told a bunch I suck and he's fine. He got nerfed a bunch and everyone stopped caring about him and as his main it sucks all that happened. But there is a bit of hope for him. Riot recently did the QoL change for his isolation passive indicator to his base and sands skin. There's also the fact they nerfed tiamat for being too strong and indirectly nerfed Kha'Zix extremely hard for it.

I used to play him a TON but he's not that great in the new jungle I also want that 50% damage reduction back on his ult :(

I'm not sure I'd enjoy it if Kha'Zix got every evolution in every game. I think it's much better design to have players forced to evaluate which upgrades would make the best choice, instead of mindlessly evolving everything each game. The key, however, is to make sure that every upgrade is of equal strength to the others so that players don't just take the three strongest ones at every opportunity.
