So fiora's basic attacks now do true damage, why doesn't the new thornmail change reflect that? Since it's a basic attack regardless if it does true damage, it should reflect back at her. Shouldn't just be physical damage now, especially with all the % dmg and true damage abilities riot has decided to implement on everyone. After all, it calculates before armor and magic damage anyways. Atleast this will help out the lack of protection thornmail provides since it's change.

Thornmail: Unique: On being hit by basic attacks, returns 15% of damage taken plus +25% bonus armor) , before any reductions such as armor, as magic damage.

her auto attacks dont deal true damage. if im not mistaken its an on-hit effect that is applied in addition to her auto attacks, when she triggers a mark.

but for the rest of the damage, it triggers thornmail normally.

by the way youre better off buying qss against her to cleanse her ult, than buying the trash that thornmail has become. its not even a good item against ad carries anymore.

How to counter true damage.....Build HP. True damage is only OP against someone like Malphite who relies on stacking armor.

Her true damage is not from basic attacks, rather, she procs it with her basic attacks. Her W can also proc it.

I really don't understand why people say counter true damage with health. Have they never heard of botrk? every true damage hitter gets this item as well and there is no way to negate their damage.

Thornmail doesn't reflect on-hit effects.

Consider getting QSS. You can use it to remove her ultimate.

You're not supposed to build against %max hp true damage. That's the point. You have to outplay them or play around them, not just be a ball of stats.
