      I was having a problem with skipping school, calling off friends/work, telling my boss to schedule me less hours just so I could stay at home and play League. I was very obsessed with League during season 7, even though Ardent Censor was not fun to play with. But now, I am not even obsessed with League anymore. I have been going to every college class, been taking my time doing my homework, working more hours at my job, going to the gym more, playing less games that I used to, and most importantly, ive been spending less money on the game.

So thank you Riot Balancing team, you finally have broken my habit of this game. I used to be obsessed with it, but now I dread playing the game and try to distract myself from playing another game. Just need to wait for this game to become like SWTOR, where theres only a few thousand players. So I can finally uninstall the game.

I agree, I rarely play anymore. And I have been saving so much more money by not buying useless stuff for this game. I would spend around $150 a month on this game, now I play at most $10.

You do realise those "many people" are ALL here because they are dissapointed by something? As mentioned before, the boards fill up a fracture of the League playerbase, so even if all of us quit at once League would barely be touched by it.

I've been playing since 2011 and I've never seen this level of complains about the game state on the same issues for this long with this much consensus. You also have things like declining esports viewership and League losing its domination in the streaming scene.

No preseason has ever been this bad for this long. The preseason is over, it's season 8 now, and NOTHING, NOTHING AT ALL has been fixed.

The reason why the pre-season was 2 months beacuse riot wanted to colect a lot of data about the new runes and how to balance them.

The only credible piece of evidence is that 2016 saw around 100 million players on average on a monthly basis, whilst the following year, League had around 80 million.

This is the only time the player base has dropped, which doesn't really mean much, because 80 million is still higher than years before 2016. Mind you, 20 million is still a high number.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the 100 million was last year (they announced it at the 10th anniversary of Riot), and that no player amounts have been released after that.

The boards tends to consist of people who are unhappy with the game; as people who love the game don't have a reason to complain and are much less likely to praise the creators than someone upset is to rant about them. The boards, along with reddit, is a very small minority of the community.

I have been visiting the Boards since early S5, and since then the Boards have always been filled with rants and complaints. If the Boards were representative for the entire playerbase, the game would've been dead several years ago.

Spoiler: it's not, and looking at about 100 complainers on the Boards and using that as proof that "the game is dying" is stupid and ignorant as hell.

Same here. Also winning hypes me less than before since it was rarely challenging while loosing doesn't leave that feeling of "I just needed to do x thing different, I want to try another game to win" so going to bed at more or less decent hours is really easier than it used to be.

The lack of fun for me set in at the end of season 5 with the Juggernaut update. Juggernaut damage spiraled out of control so they compensated by making all damage out of control, then gave ADC's 30% CD with Essence Reaver, then re-compensated by making all healing out of control, then re-re-re-re-re-compensated by making all shields out of control. Fights feel like completely uncontrollable shitfests of buffs now.

same here. they keep making changes nobody wants and refusing to go back when it blows up (tank rework went to crap in so many ways), refusing to make important changes that are needed for the game to be healthy like balancing some adc's and supports and buffing turrets, and overall it feels like theyre literally completely ignoring the community

Same here. I play this game less because of how unfun it is atm. I want League to go back to the days of Season 4 & 5 as those two seasons were the best for everyone.
