He only has ap scalings on the flash thing and ult right? Seems like its innefficiemt

his w and ult, and thats what everyone thinks at first. lich bane helps incorporate your autos, and lucky for you he has an amazing passive where he shoots two shots which procs thunder lords. it has constant damage if you utilize your kit right.

The problem with AP Lucian is that it's disgustingly strong in some scenarios. His E provides a lot of AP damage while his ult (which scales with AP) deals an immense amount of AD damage.

How do you build against that sufficiently while being able to out trade him? It's rough.

Taking thunder-lords helps out trading. While you're farming up you take W first, when W hits that's 1 of 3 your passive hits the other two causing it to proc. W scales really well with AP, even if it dosen't seem like it. you want to do dmg with your w rather then autos (which is also really good wave clear), and go in when you have your passive up to proc thunder-lords. and once you hit 6 the ap ratio seems small, but you have to remember each hit is that number, and the first 3 automatically procs thunder-lords. you get kills with your W ULT or Ignite. i try to poke them down till they have 1/5th of health left (1-4 bars) flash w ignite and hit the two passive (make sure you have thunder-lords up) and that usually guarantees first blood. I rush frost-queens that way if you cant farm, at least you are still getting gold, and the slow helps when you ult or your jungler is ganking, and once you have lich bane, you do more dmg then you think.

people have faith when i get first blood i guess. But i do get complaints when they first see that i started building AP, most people first think im going AD. but they dont care once they see im actually useful in dmg, and utilize slows with queens, and rylai's, and your ult is amazing with rylai's.
