Riven jungle?

  • Very strong ganks with 4 gapclosers in one rotation, a stun and a knockback
  • Decent clear, Q-W combo is amazing against chickens.
  • Escapes invades very easily
  • Good rotation speed
  • Often ends up with both crabs
  • Decent lanegank potential, especially after blue smite

I don't see why she's not good. I play other junglers, I get the same clear speeds, often have to worry about mana, and weaker ganks that people are used to. I understand why it's not good in LCS, where you need champions like Zac to even get past the ward line. But in solo queue, I don't see why she is not considered a good jungler.

0 Engage potential unless extremely fed

Her Gap closers are also her damage so her ganks aren't as strong as they seem, Other junglers don't need to sacrifice their mobility for their damage

Makes a team hard AD so Tanks will be doubly effective when picked against her team

Provides no utility and has very bad objective control

Like why pick Riven when you can just pick Kha and be 100 times better

Her ganks are very lackluster, you have to waste your abilities just to get in a good position if the enemy laner has vision. The only way to make it work is to Q twice towards them and then EQ combo to hit them, which is waaay to slow unless you have flash.

Riven needs a lot of gold for her items, so unless you snowball really hard from somehow getting successful ganks, you're not going to have enough gold to be relevant.

Well, have any of you tried it lately? because it seems to me like you're describing the exact opposite of what I experience when I do it. Her ganks are above average in fact. Unlike Kha'zix, she is not limited to one leap that people can just flash or jump away from. She has persistent ganks, and all she really needs is that last Q and W to make a successful gank possible.
