doesn't it distract them from gameplay/dodging skillshots ahaah sorry im super nooby so i always get distracted when checking out the scoreboard but why do high elo players look at it every 5 seconds
Pure 100% speculation: Probably to check missings, identify items, and summoner spells. Im no god player, but its my guess.
Probably to check the enemy's stats and items as well as their own team's.
Usually it's to see what the current scores are and where everyone is. If you're split pushing for example, and all of their team or even one or two is mia, then chances are they're heading to you. That's why high elos aren't caught out that much. Cause they're constantly aware of what's going on. They are also looking at the scores to see who needs to be shut down and who needs to be protected.
Items so you know what to build or how much damage you can or cannot do to a target as well as other stuff as well but thats the main reason.
