When do you buy Ancient Coin on Supports?

I have been playing a ton of support recently and I'm wondering when I should get Ancient Coin over Spell thief on supports, mainly enchanter ones. I know it is most likely getting a buff in the next upcoming patch from last time I checked surrender at 20 but will it ever be worth getting over spell thief on any match ups and champions? I currently only get Ancient coin in match ups like soraka/lulu vs Leona and lulu/janna vs brand (sometimes I get it as soraka vs him too). The only champion I usually go ancient coin in most match ups on is blitzcrank.

Are you melee? Get Targons. (Alistar/Taric) Do you have a lot of long ranged poke or strong wave clear? Get Spell Thief. (Morgana/Lux) Otherwise get Ancient Coin. (Soraka/Sona)
