I love Dynamic Queue
Really, I do. Even as a "solo player"
I love that I can find temporary teammates play games with, to have a sense of teamwork that goes beyond random players in a match. I love that I can get matched with 4 man premades who can coordinate plays. I love that I can get grouped with 4 man premades that don't rage at each other when their teammates are doing bad. I love the fact that I can get thrown into a match with people who have an actual strategy to go along with their champion picks.
Most of all, I love that for the first time in 7 years, as a player who never had the time to dedicate to the ranked 5's ladder, I could actually experience the type of play that was reserved for those able to maintain an active roster, the rush of being able to win games through teamwork and personal synergy, and to know that any rapport I've built with teammates could be carried into as many future matches as I please.
The only downside I see to the dynamic queue is the removal of a dedicated 5-man ladder, which can skew rankings and mismatch competitions between the types of teams that would compete exclusively within it, but I've yet to see a complaint from any of these teams here on the boards, so perhaps this isn't as big of an issue as I thought it to be.
One of the biggest issues with the solo queue was the fact that we couldn't choose our teammates, and we were left to the mercy of chance when it came to victory or defeat. Now we finally have a solution, the ability to pick and choose our teammates, to only include those who don't troll, who don't rage, who are competent with the game, and people are outraged because they refuse to use the tools given to them?
If I have to choose between a system where:
A:) Players can pick their teammates, bring their friends and players who have been vetted, into a ranked ladder, in a game where teamwork and communication are the most important ways to achieve victory, or;
B:) Players are randomly lumped into a lobby based on their W/L ratio with radically different temperaments and personalities, with no control of what kinds will be on your team, in a game where teamwork and communication are the most important ways to achieve victory;
I will choose A every time.
Most players are willing to abuse every game mechanic, stat, item, etc., to win, yet they are so averse to using the most powerful ability to achieve victory that comes with being able to choose your own teammates. It doesn't make sense.
