Azir Item Interactions

So, i'm a bit confused how azir interacts with items through the soldiers. Does the nashors tooth passive magic damage on basic attack apply? I was testing things in bot games and apparently sheen and consequently lich bane dont work with the soldiers as well as the new hextech passive. But guinsoos will grant you stacks if only the soldiers attack. Maybe in the future they will be more consistent and fix it so the soldiers can apply on-hit effects as if they were basic attacking. Thoughts?

The Sand Soldiers do not proc on-hit effects like a basic attack in almost every case, and are treated as AoE abilities instead. Nashor's is a core item because of the AS, AP, and CDR, but he does not get to use the on-hit damage through his soldiers.

Sand soldiers apply spell effects and not on hits.

Guisnoos is an on attack effect so that's probably why it procs it. A few patches ago they made it so the soldiers gained the phantom hit passive of devourers, but not any onhit effects.

If his soldiers applied onhits, he would be completely broken and have zero counterplay.
