Can matchmaking please be fixed

I don't get why a team of silvers and bronze players have to play against 3 gold players. Can the team's be more fairly matched? A Bronze 2 Tahm Kench laning against a gold 2 Renekton is just not fair in any way. I don't want to be handed a free win either because my team has the one plat player for once.

Riot doesn't know how to balance their game let alone matchmaking.
