Have not seen a single xerath since the patch but he has always been a champion that i was interested in. Just curios if any xerath mains out there could fill me in on how he preforms now with the changes to his skills and items? Will a new xerath player be able to find success with him in his current form?

I lost to an LB though.
Had a Soraka rage at me even though she never used her ult and I never got ganks from my jungler.
So essentially i was alone against LB and a Maokai..

I play him with Thunderlords for the EWQ combo in-lane that takes out half of the enemy's hp. In a normal situation, I rush Tear into Rylais for infinite CC, infinite mana, and some HP to help when enemies close in. After that, it's just situational items like Ludens, Rabs, Zhonyas, etc. Try to finish your Archangels within 5 minutes of your tear being stacked. A 400 HP shield and 120 AP is huge against champs that can get in your face.
Alüe1 voteshis ult is more difficult to land. Currently at plat 2 elo right now. As per mana usage he is fine, i think riot may have slipped up though. I discovered a build the results in almost 1.1k ap. Nukes just about any champion.
JakiStow1 votesHe is very strong, but also quite hard to play. In good hands you can win most games with him.
But train in normals first.
