Done!
Honestly nobody likes autofill
hyperbole already :O
it's so stupid that you have a chance to get a role you're complete shit at.
As SoundChaosDebug pointed out, that was the case for every game you were in for the first 5 seasons of LoL. I'm not saying it wouldn't be ideal if everyone always got the role they wanted; just making sure you're aware of context in case you didn't start playing until after S5 ended.
This autofill makes people queue dodge so much and it's impossible to get into a game.
I do understand hyperbole and its purpose, but this one rings hollow to me. I've played something like 25 games since they enabled autofill. I've had exactly one "dodge", and it happened to be me failing to lock in a ban. There may be more dodging than in S6; I'm not omniscient. But it's not universally rampant, at least in the queues and MMRs I've played in.
I think riot should get rid of it completely. Yes I know the queue times will be probably about 6 minutes or so rather than the normal 3-4 minutes but it will probably be faster to get into a game since everyone will be happy with their positions and that means there will be less queue dodgers. Please get rid of autofill as it will make it so much easier to get into draft pick games without waiting 10+ minutes due to autofill giving people positions they don't want.
I think you're underestimating Riot. They certainly have metrics concerning how often people dodge and the adjusted time-to-next-game that it causes. Riot implemented autofill only because they wanted that time to go down, and they did it knowing that it would cause some frustration. If the time-to-next-game was actually larger than it was without autofill, Riot would have turned it off after the first full patch. (And if it was much much larger, then they wouldn't have waited for a patch.)
Simply removing autofill will not reduce queue times.
