Dota has something similiar, where players can create their own gamemodes, and people can download them. Its a good design, and allows for some really interesting gamemodes. I dont really see any reason why riot wouldnt want to do this, besides people saying its copying dota. Or maybe its just a coding problem, i dont know.
Rewt1 votesIt would require them to set up the whole infrastructure to be able to do it. The workshop easily piggy backed off of their Steam platform, but with league they dont have an efficient way to do it. Not to mention Riot hasnt released all the source code and engine for for the game making this even less possible.
AwesomeGuyDj1 votesI mean, i can see WHY it would be difficult. But i feel like it would be worth it, since rather than having to make new RGMs, people could just play the workshop. I would understand if they didnt want to do that though.
Rewt1 votesWould it really be worth it for them though? They make $0 out of it. And they would have to let out their source code making cheating even easier, and they would have to spend a bunch of money to get it set up. Especially since You need special servers to host that kind of thing of which they currently dont have.
