how are some of the perma banned champions "op"

Can someone try to convince me how akali, kat, and yasuo are op. How is akali op, she has no cc, is super squishy, and has lots of counters ex. Darius Brand Fizz Garen Irelia Jax Kennen Lissandra Pantheon Poppy Riven Swain XinZhao . I mean aklali ins't invulnerable in her shroud, anybody with aoe can rekt her (cough...coughBrand Garen Riven ) All of these hard counter aklali, swain, kennen, fizz, brand. liss, and riven counter her even harder. Kat? anything with a knock up, stun, silence or fear stop her ulti, which a whole lot of champs have these days. And yasuo? has some hard counters too Akali Annie Pantheon Riven Malzahar Heimerdinger Brand including he has some pretty low base health.

Idk, i hear akali has some nerfs coming next patch to her ult to lower the range really low making it pretty useless, which don't seem necessary imo, it seems like it will make her power spike at 6 pretty small. Fizz wont be nerfed lol even though he's pretty op, and having one of the best early game dives in the game. Considering i play alot of riven though, i dont have much trouble against him. Can someone convince me how akali is op.(or kat and yas) I want to hear the communities opinion on who else they think is op.

Because she flies right past her counters and kills your ADC and APC before you noticed

Once they are gone, you likely only have supports and tanks left who she can easily out sustain.

She needs a few changes, nothing major just a couple of minor number changes

Buff her Q to always restore 30 energy, reduce the base damage by about 30 per rank and reduce the AP scaling by about 0.2 Increase the damage of her E by about that much as well, and increase the AD scaling by about 0.2

Increase her passive to 10% base on both effects, but reduce the scaling to 1% per 10 on both effects.

Reduce the AP scaling of her ultimate to 0.3, but give it a 0.3 AD scaling as well Also reduce the base damage from 100/175/250 to 100/150/200 Change her Charge system so that it now holds 2/3/4 charges instead of a static 3 Give it a 25 Energy Cost to use it

Yasuo isn't OP per say, but it's more like he's a toxic champion to play against, primarily because of his double crit, free 50% armor shred, and amazing mobility. He's also permabanned because he's very coinflippy- either he gets a good matchup and stomps or a bad matchup and feeds.

Kat is permabanned (from my reading) because she can jump in, pop her burst combo, and jump out quickly.

Akali is permabanned because it's very hard to escape from her when she decides to delete you, because she gets 3 charges of her ult (which is a dash) in conjunction with basically free absurd point and click damage with how her Q interacts with the rest of her kit.

That, and most of the champions you cite as counter-picks are very niche picks, like Brand, Kennen, Malazhar and Darius. You also cite Akali as being a counter to Yasuo, which further leads credence to Akali's strength. You yourself also note Fizz's power, and that he basically wrecks everything.

Akali isn't remotely squishy, any point made after that faux pas is invalid.

What elo is this pertaining to?

Well Yasuo is annoying as shit to play against. He's not OP.

Katarina and Akali are counterable sure, but they snowball from roaming extremely easily. I've never been killed by either champion and thought, "Wow I got totally outplayed there."

OP is bronze 1, but you can pubstomp your way to plat with akali.

That said, ppl like to ban yasuo because of his feast or famine nature, and the fact that the windwall is just plain bullshit. Yas is not OP, he's just fustrating to play against, and risky to have as a teammate.

Katarina is the same-ish problem (feast or famine) but odds are you can see that from her items. If she gets item 3151 first, you are pretty safe since the guy is too dumb even for katarina, but if you see a item 3128 or item 3157 or item 3135 , you must be careful. Also, since you MUST save one cc for kata, it's not rare that everyone saves a CC for kata (couse soloQ, and you can't expect that your teammates are smart enough to do so), thus kata herself 'locks down' a few hard CC just by existing.

Akali is just retarded. Give her a item 3146 , and she can start to melt people. Add in a proper akali player, who gets defensive items on her (ie: item 3157 +item 3001 ) and suddenly you must get pink wards (that she can disable with item 3341 ), and peel like a god for the carries (in soloQ... lol).

TLDR: Yasuo is annoying, Kata and akali are dangerous.

First yasuo isnt a popular ban anymore so your post is straight out outdated.

Second every champion that is considered op indeed has its counters. But they are considered op for a reason. For someone like akali its the fact that most midlaners is unable to truly exploit her early weakness to the point where they can stand up to her powerspike at lvl6 resulting in most lanes going into akalis fawour. She indeed competes no cc and no utility to the team but she is a midlaner and that is not expected from her (besides high elo scrubs believing that only cc wins games). Most of midlaners use their cc just to land skillshots or peel themselves anyway instead of setting up targets like tanks and supports do, akali doesnt compete that but she doesnt need cc for her skills to land at the same time.

Ofc you should notice that akali was never considered anything more than low elo stomp but now is a target of constant rage. This is a naturaly occuring phenomenon. Akali contributes only raw power to her team so every couple of nerf cycles where champions who compete other things get tuned down to actualy reflect their powerbudget ppl like akali and katarina rise up since cc is outplayable and not expected from their position.

People consider the rule of "cc wins games" to be true but if you actualy consider the thing like power budget it turns out that spamming cc might backfire on you when you dont have any damage to follow it up hence its tied to roles with lower damage output like support toplaner and jungler

So back to the main topic. the champions who are considered op atm are indeed counterable and wery weak in some cases but its just like any other champion behawes. The reason they are considered op is because of the buffs and nerf cycles. They dont need to compete much but if their natural counters get nerfed the ballance slowly turns in their fawour. For someone like akali not being simply rekt early means that she is allowed to freely rawage anything she finds and she isnt getting rekt early as ofthe as she should

Another reason for a champion to go op is exploitability of their kits and the main example here is zed. Zed despite being totaly counterable by items and the most peelable assasin is a very popular pick and ban. Reason is simple, zed can abuse his q to change any lane he would naturaly lose into the farm lane. This allows zed to become an uncounterable machine where he either wins early or goes even with you anyway you cant deny him being able to compete his stuff into the game unlike akali who can get shreded early Another example of kit being abusable is fizz. His counterplay is the same as akali, he has to be bullied early. But his trollpole allows him to either evade getting ganked or poked or even going for a trade early. and since akali can survive the lane preety easily now a guy like fizz can even win it pre 6 since mages cant keep up
