Why does riot nerf the things we dont want nerfed?

i hear sona is about to get another nerf to her MS, because why? I don't remeber hearing people complaining about sona that much, i mean yeah i hate playing against her but does that make her op? OF COURSE NOT lol. Manwhile champs like these little pieces of crap are walking around (and no i dont care if lee and zed are nerfed or not but people want him to be) What is even the point of sona anymore? to just be their i guess... I'm pretty sure nami is faster and has more healz too....

My last game on another account was against a Sona. She was the only one that could kill my Nasus. She literally out-damaged Zac (super fed), Sivir, Karma, and Hecarim (bit of a noob). Here is a better question. Why do players that play OP champions act like the champion is not OP when a nerf is on the table?
