season 5 and matchmaking still doesn't work

after so many years, I first wonder why matchmaking is still so bad, and how it really works at all after a strike of win, I don't get to play against better player than me so that I would get a challenge, improve, learn new things. Instead, I got to play with noobs or newbs on my team, people who don't even know the basics like cs, fog of war and warding, or thing that the are better than everyone and keep insulting everyone how is it possible, why is your matchmaking system punishing people instead of rewarding them ???

I play with people that knows how to CS, knows how to ward, knows when to engage. Albeit there be some mistakes here and there, but the people i get matched up are generally rather on top of the basics. No offense to you and really not trying to be rude, but the match making works perfectly. They put you with people around your skill level.

'around' is how far ? cause when I play with people who do 30cs every 10 minutes, jungle without smite or don't use a single ward while support, 'around' fells like in a galaxy far far away :s I know my skill level, which is a little above average (silver when I was in Europe), and that's clearly not silver level
