Play Thresh on Bronze?

I decided to main Thresh as I fell in love with his kit. The problem is that I started ranked one month after I started playing LOL. So I got to bronze 4 and still struggling for 3 more months. I am not tryhard or value color of my league so much, but ADCs in Bronze seem not to know Thresh a lot. I know that, because I had games with silver guys and that was a quite big difference. The problem is that I don't feel that I am making impact when I win. Its always because we have mid or top carry. I do save people with lantern and do good assists during roaming mid, but I want to play aggro dominating Thresh on bot. Maybe I just suck, but we are not synergizing with adc on most games. I don't know how to play passive Thresh and always behind team when it comes to mid game because I don't have a lot of assists. I had bad games, but I enjoyed some of them more than winning ones because I had good ADC.

Now my question. The purpose of my post. What champ to chose to climb up faster? I feel I will learn Thresh much better in silver. I will still play Thresh for skill development, but I want to have half of ranked games with Thresh and another half with another champ that will boost me out of bronze hopefully %). Also I don't have a lot of games at ranked. Maybe 17 or something. Maybe I should keep playing Thresh, but I just hate that time wasted on games with ADC that says "Oh I didn't notice lantern" after they die

So now I am fairly good at Teemo, and learning Shaco. Maybe I should play Soraka or get Blitz? Or you have your suggestion? Thanks in advance

You can learn most of Thresh's combos and tricks without a teammate knowing what's going on. It's mostly the lantern drag plays that they have to know what's going on, and it doesn't hurt to practice making your lanterns a little more idiot-proof. Ping where you're dropping it for rescues or long ganks a second before you do, or drop it at your feet before running ahead so they have more time to see while they're walking up for a walk-in gank.

Lower down, it's probably best to work on just superior laning, harassing, trading, bush play, and all that. When it reset my MMR to low silver I carried bot lane a lot just by walking up and beating the opposing two laners to death. By high silver I started failing at that more, and played real support.

As for what support to play to just carry yourself, it could very well be Thresh--but it'll probably be a mage support. You'll still have to work on just being superior in laning, as your farm'll come from killing people. But something like a Brand or an Annie or a Zyra. Sightstone + Damage.

If you wanted to go somewhere other than support you've got dozens of options for what to get good at.

I love Thresh to death, play him plenty in norms, but I would strongly urge against playing him in ranked at low elo. Odds are that no matter how qualified you may think you are to play the champion, you'd do much better on one with a lower skillcap.

Mage champions are golden at low elo. Brand, Annie, and Zyra have been mentioned, and all do particularly well. Most especially, in my experience, low elo laners don't really know how to handle Zyra's form of harass. Master her, and she's basically freelo.

Sona's another good mage support. You also can't go wrong with Blitzcrank or Soraka, if you prefer a different playstyle. The former because he capitalizes extremely well on enemy's mistakes (and trust me, they'll make a lot of mistakes at low elo), and the latter because she's simply very strong overall and rather easy to play.

Don't play him at low elo unless duoqing.
