Does Nocturne need Flash?

His ganks are almost always start from his ult, so he doesn't need flash for ganks. I am new to LOL, but i think his playstyle implies engaging only in situations with numerical advantage, and even if not, his ult should make -1 to enemy in couple of seconds. So if he is in hard situation, that's mostly choice of player and those cases can be very few. I don't know if it's worth for him to get flash. Maybe TP would be better? Yeah, and bear in mind that i am low elo

Flash is just strong in general, one of the few champs that don't run it is Hec replacing it with Ghost

I think it's needed on nocturne just because other champs can dash/flash over walls or go through minion waves.

if he dives someone in a teamfight, how do you suppose he gets out without a flash? especially when that target flashes. few champions don't take flash usually take summoner 6 which provides them with better sticking power Olaf Hecarim Tryndamere Nasus . flash is just to good to give up.
