Where Do you Start Jungling with Diana??

Hey, So I've been playing Diana Jungle a lot Recently. Basically, the way I do it is, I ask for a leash on the blue Sentinel, which I smite when it gets low. Then if they're nice enough, Sometimes they help me leash gromp too. If I do get a leash on gromp, I won't have to recall for the remainder of my clear. I then do Wolves, then go to my red. If my smite is down, I do Razor. If my Smite is up, I do the Red Brambleback (which I smite). Then I finish off at Krugs. I then go to invade the enemy Jungle.

I know I'm doing it wrong, but the thing is, If I get a leash on say, the gromp only, I fear it will set me back because I'll then have to recall.

If you are running AS start Krugs, they are always more efficient if you have AS.

If you start Gromp, you have blue buff early which will let you spam your Q and W for damage.

Starting Krugs is pretty good too, but you have to manage your mana a little more carefully and the route is a little more awkward.

Diana mana costs aren't that bad though. I guess I am just used to playing weird junglers and the best start for them is krugs so I am used to having to play around mana. W/E, I am pretty sure that Krugs is the most efficient for junglers that can't get a full clear from gromp but I do agree it takes more kiting skill than starting gromp side.

Starting leash at the buff isn't the greatest idea. I'd always go for the fast level two on a smaller camp (gromp/krugs) as with the ammount of health blue/red has, they'll deal more damage to you level 1 than your team will leashing you, additionally you'll recieve a lot of damage from gromp/krugs as they hurt as well. You could end up using an entire refillable from losing about 30% of your health leashing the buff, and another 40% from soloing the gromp or krugs. Alternatively you and your team can deal tons of damage to the krugs and gromp, give you a level 2 with full hp, or 90%, and then do blue buff losing on 20-40% of your hp depending on shields and kiting, and then heal that off with a single pot or refillable, do wolves, scuttle, and you're full hp ready to either farm more or gank.

Diana is best just getting a normal leash from your bot lane, then spamming W at the buff for minimumal damage.

Or you could take AS on every jgler ever and start krugs. Actually pretty nice since the AS helps Diana more than most AP jglers anyways due to her passive.

AS doesn't change where you start, if krugs are bot side you get your double leash, if gromp is bot side you get your double leash, I really don't see what point you're trying to make with AS on every jungler..

If you're refering to starting top side krugs (if you're on red team) then you're going to have a less fun time. I'd never start top side krugs without a proper reasoning (fear of invade, taking their blue) as its a much slower clear and prevents the pressure of counter ganking top/mid side while leaving you with less mana in addition to less health.

And no, every jungler doesn't need AS to clear. Especially if they don't scale off it and aren't auto based, you're better off going penetration and doing more damage to the camps than getting an extra auto or two in per camp. Diana scales hard with AS because of her passive making third hits abusable, or in other words, makes her get more extra damage off to the camps quicker.

Krug buff scales with AS, that's why any jungle who relies heavily on autoattacks and/or takes attack speed runes usually wants to start there. The Krug buff massively reduces the damage you take in the jungle, and you can apply it a lot more often with higher attack speed.

My preferred route for squishy/autoattack junglers is Krugs (Smite) -> Raptors -> Red (Smite) -> gank (if possible) -> blue.

Not sayings it's necessarily ideal for Diana (I don't play her much myself), but it is certainly a viable option.
