PSA for Everyone Who Asks to "Nerf This Champion"
Consider for a moment, why are you asking that?
Is it because that champion has a very unfair and unbalanced playstyle that legitimately needs re-thinking? Something that you have tested facing that champion across hundreds, perhaps tens of hundreds of games, with different champions and answers to the same questions in each micro-situation, and finding little way to respond meaningfully?
Or is it because you lost a few games to that champ on your main, are still feeling some leftover bitterness, and come here to complain in order to vent? Or because, rather than learn to deal with said champion (i.e. learning said champion to understand their limitations, itemizing against them, and/or learning another champion that can counter them), you come here asking Riot to do your work for you in making that champ beaten for you innately through nerfs.
There is a difference between asking for champion re-balancing because a champion is all-around difficult to deal with the current meta and items out there, and a champion that YOU, just YOU have an issue facing with, either because: you lack the skill or mechanical understanding to outplay the champion when it is possible, you are simply less skilled than your opponent in that particular game you are playing, or because your champion is facing a hard innate counter?
Just because you and fifty other people dislike a champ by no means makes that champion deserving of flat-out nerfs across the board, some champions are meant to be frustrating or challenging to deal with, and you're always theoretically going to face people as good as you, meaning that there is no way for you to win more except to get better.
That is the whole point of League of Legends: the best get to where they are through time and effort and improvement, not taking the easy way out by playing one champion and asking for all of their main's counters to be nerfed into oblivion.
And on the flip-side, yes: sometimes Riot does nerf champions who deserve it, then nerf it excessively beyond what is needed, or nerf other factors beyond the champion that made it unhealthy, i.e. Cinderhulk for tanks, Devourer for auto-attackers, and then not immediately un-do the nerfs. But Riot usually has a reason for such, perhaps they enjoy seeing champions rise and decline in play, in promotion of new meta and seeing all that can and will happen, and don't want the same champions to be constant mainstays. This season had some of the greatest champion diversity we have seen in a while, and we can only hope that things change in such a fluid way.
Yes, Lee Sin is always seen in the LCS, and perhaps he is beloved by Riot. Well guess what? Lee Sin responds very well at the LCS level where people can play him to his maximum efficiency, and champions who can perform well and look damn good doing it too are always beloved. That doesn't mean your favorites don't have their own special niche, and perhaps, rather than being angry that your champion isn't what is considered LCS material, maybe instead... you can work with that champion, and YOU can bring them to the LCS and make the big plays.
Sometimes your champion brings you glory, maybe instead... for once, you could bring your champion glory too?
