small ori build question.

I've recently been trying to learn ori. I have noticed a lot of pros are building liandrys on her. I've heard of ppl replacing ludens with it but they seem to be doing both. doing so you don't get your void staff third and I would imagine have a harder time vs tanks. so I'm curious why they are doing it.

liandri's is good against tanks for the percentage max health damage

A lot of it is team comp wise, no tank? Build lumens for extra burst damage, they have tanks? Build liandrys so they won't be a big problem. The void staff would be best next because of its price compared to rabadons. Not too sure if you get rylais, don't really play the champ.

You can kind of build whatever you want on Orianna.

Liandry's is solid on her and ok against tanks, gives her some survivability and does good damage to squishies, but it can't replace a void staff. It's kind of a question of what you need next. Ludens is more burst, torment is more sustained damage with some added tankyness which is nice against a lot of the lethality. But you could go zhonyas, if they have a lot of mr you could go right into void.

Its just that in high elo having tank is usually a must, so they get liandrys for extra penetration. Honestly ludens is only good when you are snowballing as a 1. or 2. item. I usually stick with sorcs/lucidity + morello + roa/liandrys + zhonya + rabadon + void staff.
