Most flexible champion and are flexible champions OK? (Can go AP/AD/Tank etc)

Hey there, Onwodori here.

With the advent of a GORGEOUS new Kennen skin coming, I have dusted off the old ninja and returned to work. Got an S+ support game with him and I remembered --

He's a ludicrously flexible champion. He has AP scaling for the most part, sure, but is capable of being a legitimate ADC. What's more, though I don't know anyone else to use this, he is a fantastic engage tank / bruiser, with massive movespeed and up to 50 free armor and MR with his E. He even has consistent, strong CC.

Basically, I feel like he *can do anything, though is the best at nothing. Are champions like that OK to exist in league, or do you think Riot will come along and give them more of an identity, as they have been doing with many, many champions of late (Marksmen COUGH) ?

So my vote is obviously for Kennen. Who is your surprise flex pick? He works in just about all roles.

Thanks,

-Onwodori

As long as they don't outshine and replace the majority of the champ pools, that's fine.

For instance, here are dozens of reasons to pick a tank over Kennen toplane. You get the point.

Right, right. I personally quite like champions that have an intended role but then fill so many others too -- like confused interns. So useful.

Most flexible champion

Kayle

She's pretty much a fighter/mage/marksman/support rolled into 1, all with the same AP+AS build.

She's also seen successful competitive play as a top-lanner, jungler, mid-lanner, and support.

They can be: but it's a very fine line of balance.

Give a champion solid B qualities across the board: and they effectively have no weaknesses and are strong enough to exploit the weaknesses of everyone else.

Give a champion mediocre C qualities across the board: and they don't really bring anything to the table, lacking purpose or enough strengths to take advantage of an opponent's weaknesses.
