Can we please have an AD/Tank version of morellos?

How am I supposed to deal with things like voli's passive? Or am i forced to lock in an ap champ that benefits off morello? More item "diversity" please.

yeah lets kick champs that are struggling in the current meta while they're down. Lets make items to counter them even harder so we can get rid of more "diversity" in the top lane.

Logic.

You already used "slippery slope" as your logical basis.

The truth is that there is only item 3165 that applied grievous wounds to champions below 40% health. It is an AP item with:

Stats +100% base mana regeneration +80 ability power +20% cooldown reduction

Passive UNIQUE: Dealing magic damage to an enemy champion below 40% health inflicts Grievous Wounds icon grievous wounds to them for 4 seconds.

Unlike AD though, AP doesn't have much health regen except for Spell Vamp which is only useful on certain champions. AP is designed for "press button damage happens." An item like Morellonomicon is really only found on Assassins and Mages. AD on the other hand can go Bruiser and build a lot more health and resistances or damage which has a lot of lifesteal. Also, AD players auto attacks do a ton of damage.

If an item for AD had Grievous Wounds it would have to be better for a melee player, but even then would you want a Darius with bleeds AND Greivous Wounds? I believe an AD player already has massive amounts of counters to Greivous Wounds. If anything AD Melee could use more abilities to regenerate Mana.

In the end summoner 14 is the best option to counter healing.

Which in it of itself is a problem for champions that are built around self healing such as Mundo. In a blind pick you're unlikely to know who you'll fight, so counter picking isn't really possible. Plus there's the long cooldown of summoner spells, which make them unreliable when dealing with that enemy as you don't have an answer most of the time.

You're right that an AD Grevious wounds item would come with many problems, Darius is a prime example. It also could be abused by AD casters such as Pantheon or Zed who have passives that encourage basic attacks.

This is a deeper problem than I think we wish it was.

There is this summoner 14 But I do agree that there should be another item that applies grievous wounds.

Once upon a time, Doran the Shopkeeper sold an item called Executioner's Calling that applied grievous wounds upon critically striking. Mundo didn't seem to care too much. He went where he pleased.
