Dear Riot, The White Flag Solution

Hey riot, thanks for taking the time to read this (if you do xD), and id love to hear your response.

This is something that is frustrating as hell to a LOT of players, and the frustration will go these 2 following ways.

Scenario 1: > OMG my team will NEVER FF! >This game is a loss. > its gg guys. ff pls >OMG WHO IS SAYING NO! THIS GAME IS OVER! etc, etc, etc...

Scenario 2 (ME): > "teammate says ff" >me: guys the game is never over till its over. they can throw, stop being so negative. >Now the whole team is either saying ff or stfu and lets win it. both sides tilted now >barely losing game. almost even tbh. >team surrenders 4 yes, 1 no (me) > WTF did we ff? We could have EASILY turned this game around! >End game screen: "I hate you all." #blockedTheFFersAndReQueue

Now, here is my proposal to this issue, because if even 1 or 2 people start saying ff, the whole game just goes to shit bc now everyone is tilted on both sides bc the game isnt ending and 1-3 toxic teammates, or its an unwanted ff by someone.

SOLUTION: >In the settings, have a "Matchmaking" tab. >In this tab have a scale 1 to 5. players can set this to how likely they are to surrender, from "NEVER" to "We gave first blood, its over, gg", and everything in between. >Above the scale it can say "May cause longer queue times" >a checkbox, or the number on the middle of the scale, to not apply a setting (faster queue time)(default setting) >Only pair a (1) with (1) or (2), a (2) with a (1) (2) or (3), etc... I'd wait an extra 3 minutes to get a #NeverFF team. tbh (and the same goes for auto fill tbh which is almost a guaranteed loss and waste of 20-60 minutes(i win roughly 1/5 autod games) but back to ffing)

Anyways I would love to see this option emplemented into the new client, bc having a team with the same "We can win it from behind" mentality would really help. I get a "ff its over" team member 19/20 games we lose first blood. Thanks for the read rito, id love to hear what you think about it.

This is pointless, literally all it does is create longer queue times for everyone.

Id happily wait an extra 5 minutes if that meant my team wouldnt try to ff

And from what i can see only 1/8 players think like this so if the people set this as a setting, then we would wait a few extra minutes, while everyone else would only wait a few extra seconds

Why do you assume it would only be 5 minutes? How can you possibly make such a claim?

Bc anything more than 5 minutes would be really really really unlikely for this kind of change, and if im fine with 5 minutes then obviously im fine with less than 5 minutes.

Again: How do you know that? How could possibly know that.

How could you possibly know how much it's going to affect queue times? You're just making up a random number with absolutely zero factual backing

estimated guess. I dont KNOW for sure, but i can still get a general idea

No you can't.

Riot hates dividing queues and increasing queue times.

While you might not care about queue times and match quality (which is also severely affected by queue size), others might not.
