Adc advice please?

FluffyBunnies··1 votes·283 views

Im struggling to survive against yasuo, zed, kassadin, akali, diana, fizz, katarina.

Im getting into games where they get very fed very early. What can i do to help my team win a game where an assassin is killing everyone they walk into? Im playing adc role obviously.

Secondly. Should I mute everyone in my games if i take your advice? Ive taken other peoples advice, about staying in lane instead of going to a stupid teamfight I know will lead to my own death as well as my teamates death. While taking the advice and staying in lane to get cs so at least I am not making a bad decision I get flamed constantly by people in my elo which is Silver.

Lastly. How if your support doesn't know how to play against an enemy adc, like draven or other lane bullys, what should i do to explain to them to be careful, or not stop getting too close to the point of being out poked by enemy adc and supp? I've tried explaining to them that I know, or even play those enemy adc's and that what they are doing is what we want while playing as them and am usually met with an unkind response or arguing.

I'll go over what I do now for the last 2 questions.

I do not mute my team, and accept the abuse they give me while making smarter decisions ive been suggested by diamond tier + players.

As stated in the 3rd question, I currently attempt to reason with my support whom I can tell is unaware of dangers of possible enemy match ups.

Thanks in advance.

i've noticed you're cs is a bit low for the time in your matches so maybe try practicing that and it's ok to build the defensive boots to increase the durability and maybe get the item 3812 and item 3026 combo

Im just going to copy and paste directly what I said in an Ezreal thread earlier because it more or less applies to every ADC.

First of all, my condolences for wanting to play ADC. This game is NOT friendly to them. With that said, heres some advice.

Identify which dudes on the enemy team are threatening you. For example lets say Malphite and Jax have been targeting you. Stay at "Max Range" and spam Qs until you see Malphite use his ult on anyone other then you and Jax use his jump on someone else. As soon as all enemy threats and cooldowns are engaged elsewhere, its safe enough to move in close enough to auto attack (likely Malphite or Jax ). Youll have to keep things in mind such as Jax jump has a low cd and he can switch his focus onto you easily.

This advice is actually how to play ALL ADCs, but Ezreal has the advantage of being able to deal damage without being in range of getting jumped. Just be aware this example is extremely flawed, and the other team will also have stuff like Lux SonaMissFortune so you have to be aware of dodging stuff both at long range as well as the tanks jumping at you.

But usually the enemy has a team like Nautilus MonkeyKing Yasuo Zac "insert ADC here" and theres literally nothing you can do except die every fight.

Also a tip about using your E. Use it in lane forward only to finish off your opponent. Dont use it to harass for damage, and definitely dont use it sideways outside of the minion wave to lane a "surprise" Q. It is a waste of mana. (Also dont even get a point in W until Q and E are maxed) After playing him enough youll get a feel for when is a good time to E forward to finish them off. In teamfights do as I advised above and if someone does jump you, E to safety. Youll probably be slowed and/or your enemies will be faster then you, so realize your E by itself is not going to save you, youll need to rely on teammates to provide you with CC.

i mean that mostly is just common knowledge, save escapes for escapes or finishing a kill if you have vision on enemy locations. Harass from as far as possible during teamfights etc etc.

None of that really applies to assassins who can go behind your team and one shot you.

Here are some ADC tips:

  • KEEP FARMING MINIONS (this helps you to stay relevant even if you keep dying). A kill is worth about 15 minions. a carry that is 0/0/0 with 75 cs is just as powerful as a carry that is 5/0/0 with zero cs. ADCs need items for power, unlike other champs who rely mostly on their levels (experience points). Practice last-hitting minions, that is key! (hint: learn to farm minions while under tower. Melee minions = 2 tower shots + AA, Caster minion = 1 AA, 1 tower shot, 1 AA, when at full hp).

  • IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO ALONE! stay with your support/teammates when you invade enemy jg. On that note, don't invade if you dont have your own minion wave under their tower. Also, don't push your minion wave while your support is roaming or at base.

  • MIND YOUR POSITIONING in fights. don't tunnel vision on that low HP enemy and go too far forward or you'll get popped. Stay behind your frontline (usually tank). Kite/orb-walk backwards.

  • ATTACK THE CLOSEST TARGET to you unless a higher priority target is in range. high priority targets are the enemy adc, mid and sometimes a carry fighter toplaner. ADCs bring the most sustained DPS so are naturally tank busters but you do even more damage to non-tanks naturally.

  • NEVER FACE-CHECK A BRUSH. when an area is dark on the map, always assume the enemy could be there. Use your abilities that grant sight or your 1st-enemy-hit skillshots (from range) to check if any enemy is in a brush. Your wards have a cast range meaning you don't have to be in melee range to put a ward down. Stand behind a wall when placing a ward.

  • CHECK MINIMAP OFTEN! Your wards and teammate pings mean nothing if you don't look at the minimap. Also, you should also check the scoreboard often to see what items your opponents have and their levels. Item Power Spikes and Level power spikes are a real thing.

  • When sieging, have vision around your objective (ward surrounding enemy jg) and use your AA mainly for damaging turrets. The only way to damage a turret is by AA'ing (abilities don't harm turrets unless they enhance your autos) so don't waste your autos on minions, use your abilities instead.

  • Focus on getting lvl 2/lvl 6 before your opponents. If you reach level 2 while your opponent is level one, you have access to an additional ability as well as ~500g worth of stats. This means killing the first 1.5 waves before the enemy does.

  • Don't fight enemy inside of their own minion wave unless you have a sizable health advantage. Minions do a lot of overlooked damage early in the game before you get additional HP from levels.

This is a lot of info and I can even say more but I hope this helps for now. Feel free to add me on the client.

If you are getting beat in lane and want to get cs, but then lose the lane, when should you get cs when in low elo people are constantly looking for fights? If I stay bottom lane to catch up and my team is constantly engaging in those 5v4 fights then blaming me how will I ever get to cs?

These are the issues I need help with. I appreciate your effort but I do not believe you read any of my questions.

Q1 answer: If you are losing lane, you need to let the wave push to you and play passive unless your support or jg helps you get kills. Don't attack enemy minions unless you are last-hitting them for gold. The wave that dies the slowest will push. This is called "freezing the lane" and is very useful. Keeping the wave near your tower protects you from all-ins from the enemy duo as well as ganks (mostly). It's OK to miss a cs here and there, as long as you are keeping up with your opponent or even shortening the gap. Missing a few CS is better than giving up your life. It goes without saying, being dead isn't just giving up 300g, you also give up exp, and pressure in lane and objectives. Try to lower your deaths if you can.

It's also important to spend your gold when you can. If you have 1300g or more, you need to shop. Really.

Your team shouldn't be looking for fights without their ADC unless they know they can win without you. It's a team game and ADCs need to scale. What you do is ward your own jungle/river to spot any approaching enemies and farm the incoming wave as quickly as possible then group with your team. In low elo, people will fight "for the heck of it", just for fun, without any real purpose and get nothing accomplished. Your team should never fight without being able to get an objective (tower, drake, etc.). So if the fight is decisive in your favor, be sure to take an objective before recalling.

Again this is a team game so if the mid laner lost their lane and flaming you/the team, they are the ones that fed, not you. If the enemy assassin is ahead, then your team need to push their respective lanes and roam and kill the assassin. Killing the assassin takes the person with the most gold on the enemy team out of the game for X seconds (death timer) as well as grants shutdown gold to your team. You take out the person who's the most threat to your team's survival and victory. Assassins excel at bursting 1 champion but not a fending off 2-3 champions and their wave clear is usually pretty bad.

Q2 answer: If your teammates are not being constructive; if they will make you feel/play worse, then yes mute the offender and if necessary, their pings. There is a difference between constructive criticism and salt.

Q3: you can try explaining to your support what you want them to do and hope for the best. This is bronze after all. Also, you can use your yellow/red ping if they are getting too close. Just keep in mind that the more you type, the less you are playing (you aren't last hitting, dodging skillshots, etc.) so try to keep the typing to a minimum; usually when you are grey screen or walking to lane.

Hope this helps.
