Soraka No longer does increased damage to enemies standing in center. Now slows everyone hit rather than just those standing in center Slow decreased to 30% at all ranks from 30/35/40/45/50%. Impact size reduced to 235 from 265 [ADDED effect] "If at least one champion is damaged by Starcall, Soraka recovers up to 50/70/90/110/130 (+.8 AP) health (based on her missing health)" [Note: This was previously on the W - same min/max values for self heal.] [Minimum heal is 25/35/45/55/65 + (.4 AP)] [Note: Still heals for each champion hit! - source.]

Astral Infusion (W)
Heal reduced to 80/120/160/200/240 from 120/150/180/210/240
[REMOVED effect] "Each enemy champion hit by Starcall heals Soraka for X to X, increasing based on how much health Soraka is missing."

And then nerf her until trashtier Just like in old timesitem 3073 Soraka item 3073

It's a huge nerf to her laning phase as a support, and a decent buff to her ability to play as a mid-lane mage.

Moving the scaling heal on hit from her W to her Q means a pretty large reduction in her sustain as a support. Combined with the large reduction in low-rank healing from her W, she's now forced to pick between taking her heal (and not being able to recover lost health) or her sustain (and not being able to heal her carry - and the prohibitive mana costs on her Q prevent her from sustaining anyway).

On the other hand, while she's now capable of laning solo, she doesn't have the AP scalars to transition into late game.

The optimal Soraka playstyle will now likely be going top lane, maxing Q first, and then transitioning into a support late game. She doesn't have the lane presence early with these changes to be a support, and she doesn't have the damage to serve as a mage late game.

She's not a healer with these changes, and she's not a mage. If they want her to remain in the game at all she needs a substantial buff, either to her E to keep her as a support or her Q to make her into a mage.

Soraka mid is already a thing.

This is a very wonky way of trying to fix her problems. But with her previous range nerf on her Q, support raka is going to be hurting bad.

In my opinion, the removal of the increased damage in the center is a pretty big thing...

But I guess she has a chance, now you can heal!!! From the point of view of a Mid Raka, W was useless, giving you only a heal for yourself. Now you get it free :D

But I still have some doubts about her damage potential after this nerf...

Why why does Riot hate her, why I'd rather they nerf the, Oh so powerful wind speaker than all of this, and yes I know that's a bit unfair for any other Support with heals but in all honestly she is the only one that really uses it effectively most, Sona, Lux and Lulu players that go support would rather take Thunderlord, at least from what I've seen, why this

They didn't believe me last season when I stated TwistedFate support was the new thing. Old cc or area control mids will be going support, and support that has been getting those same type abilities buffed will be taking mid. Let the healer wars at mid commence! I'm telling you. It will be nothing but sustaining heals or high defense at mid. The good thing is that TF won't have to wait so long for the queue. Always an up side.

that'd be cool to see. I also miss seeing Janna on the solo lanes

the Q buffs really need to be improved on. im not sure why riot is touching soraka now. i get spam heals but another patch to shove down our throats?

Definitely possible now that her self heal scales with Q levels.

I feel that this is actually a rebalancing of Soraka mid. I've played some of it mid and your damage is subpar unless you hit your skill in the middle. However, you get around a 40 damage boost on your skills as you do not have to put a point into W early. And now, your sustain will always be at maximum value. But there's one thing to remember and that's the radius nerf, which is pretty important. I feel like this will make Soraka mid much more passive than it was before and base it around staying alive and stalling the lane.

Interesting thought, I always thought the biggest thing holding back Soraka as a mid laner was her self-healing being tied to W. I'm excited to try this out and see if it works, especially with the upcoming yet-to-be-known buffs to Q.
