Why is Blitzcrank immune to the nerf-bat?
It's just annoying laning against him. He doesn't even need to use anything and still can zone better than any other support. But better nerf Sona and Janna Kappa.

How to support as blitz 101:
1)Don't Hook. Not hooking zones them Annie style, and that way they can't see how bad at hooks you are

It's mostly because he's a one trick pony. If he isn't making catches and picking people off with his hook, he's really not doing anything for his team. A gameplay update would be pretty nice to make him feel alot better to play as and against, especially considering I've heard he was originally designed as a top laner. Maybe (ironically) flesh out what it's like to be one of the only instances of artificial life on the rift?
Blitz has one thing he can do. Literally one thing. Everything in his entire kit builds up to this one thing. His W moves him short distances quickly to get in position, his Q hooks, and his E-R can combo a hook. He's an assassin that needs an ally to get a kill. He's a support that can't give any utility. He's pretty much just a lane bully, if you know how to stand behind minions, he's pretty worthless.
There's a reason why he's never played well in the pros. He's veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery niche, to the point that many champions are only slightly worse in the only category Blitz is good at. I can't really think of a time when Blitz is a better pick than most other supports other than just in low elo where people don't really understand how to beat him.
If you can't stand behind minions or your support, you're doing it wrong and coming to whine about it here is abysmal.
Its a taboo to talk bad about blitz, for the fear that a blitz main will say "just dodge the hooks noob" and then 5 million people will agree and your thread will be nuked.
Because he doesn't need a nerf. He relies entirely on his Q. If you stand behind minions or just dodge it what else does he do? Try to run at you and knock you up, and if he does manage to he probably used his speed boost thing, ran way ahead of the adc, and is now trying to slowly role away because the movespeed ran out and the slow kicked in.
Remember when they murdered his w? Yeah don't make a post about blitz op, when hes been fucked up by nerfs a lot, bet that's why rito made the boom boom blitzcrank skin too, because blitz got fucked up.
I'm a Brand main but even I know Blitz's shortcomings to not be frustrated from his abilities and I'm sure you can learn the same, friend!!

Blitz has had the highest win rate of all supports, even higher than soraka, for several months now. He also has a top 3 play rate for support for the past several months. He is also strong in every elo. Seems balanced to me.
Do us all a favor and go look at his patch history and then come back.
I think his roaming is WAY too good (even with the slow afterwards). To say that he gets around would be an understatement. By the time a teammate has arrived to help, Blitzcrank has already done his job (unless he missed obviously).
The main thing I want is for his Q hitbox to not be insane and his ult to get a cooldown nerf.
The same reason it took so long for akali and old Darius to get nerfed. He's seen as a "noob stomper" IMO he needs a rework right now he's way to strong if he lands his grab but completely useless if he misses it, his a one ability champion.
blitz can't be nerfed as long as thread exists.

The W nerf was so stupid. With 1 change Rito gutted AD Blitzcrank and made the champion un fun to play. RIP
He's not OP, just binary and really unfun.
I feel as though if he were released in today's League (of Bard, Tahm, Kindred, etc.), he would be able to hook allies away from danger as well.
Because he's entirely reliant on landing his Q to be effective, which is easily blocked and easily enough avoided.
