Won 8 out of 10 ranked games. Got Bronze V.

You usually get seeded 1 or 2 divisions lower than where you finished last season, so this is normal
The placement system isn't working the way it's suppose to be.
don't worry everyone who got placed into silver and higher think there is nothing wrong with it but those of us who've never been EVEN PLACED FROM PLACEMENTS lower than bronze 1 (or even ever been demoted below bronze 1) get demoted from silver to bronze 3 will be told its our fault.... i HAD 1500 MMR and was Silver 5 last season before i played my placements... after placements i got fuckin sacked into Bronze 3 @ 940 MMR the lowest ive ever been and i only played my placements for ranked since S4 ranked ended....
My friend I feel your pain, I do honestly. However I cannot help you proceed further towards your goal the only thing I can do here for you is to motivate you not to give up.
Do what you can, do what you must, show the world what's your goal and that you can reach that!

Basically, statistics: you play against people of X rank, the sistem does an average plus additional calculations and for safety these calculations are rounded lower.
Numbers of games won don' t mean a thing...

That's ok, I'm 5 and 2 right now and I'm expecting similar results to what you have. I'm B5 now, hoping for B3 but ... they'll probably put me back in B5.
Put it this way, were the matches hard and full of good players? If not, you'll have to fight your way out of bronze the old fashioned way, because the provisionals didn't challenge you.
Let's face it. Tiers are based on your percentile amongst the players. So at the end of last season, so many of the inactive really low bronze V's quit that it greatly reduced the number of players that we are all better than. So for us active players, it's going to take a good bit more of a rating to get out of bronze V than it used to.

You can't place higher than you were. If you win 10 out of 10 you will stay at where you were.

I for one love the game and have fun playing ranked and testing out my skill against others. My problem with the placements this season is as follows (as I am understanding it works). If winning 10 of ten placement matches leaves you in the rank you were before, then why do some of my opponents have a higher previous rank then my own. For such a rule to be fair I should not be competing against someone at a higher skill level because that only means "down I go" for even 1 loss. 10 of 10 should mean that I am ready for the next level. In every test when one aces it they move forward to the next challenge, but not here. lets face it bronze V is most frustrating because of the variety in skill. The fact that you can kda 12/3/12 and lose horrifically due to teammates playing for the sole purpose of feeding your opponents. Its a team effort and too many in low bronze dont understand this. Riot you simply messed up this time. You wont admit this fact but we have to wait a year for you to fix it and that just will cause so much pain... and suffering.... and time. Yes I will work to move up but dam why from the bottom. Ive never been here ever. EVER!!!! so why did I get put here lol
It sucks but if you belong higher you'll climb up. If you are really struggling try duo'ing with a friend. It will make it one less person to AFK on you or feed. I was bronze S3 and climbed up, it was slow but, you can do it.
EDIT: Btw, looking at your matches, holy crap buy boots please. A lot of adc games in your matches you don't even have boots after 2 full items. C'mon man.

But good news everyone! Your MMR is comparatively good; if you play well in ranked, you should be able to rise pretty fast. Good job and Good luck!
