why the fuck does riot buff stat-check champs like nasus

Falcon Of Death··7 votes·935 views

idgaf if they think he's "weak", he's toxic to play against. There's 0 outplay potential.

Oh nasus build 45% cdr? Walks up to tower with 2 armor items and just spams the fuck out of Q on the tower with 200 stacks at 40 minutes for free towers.

Targeted, low-cd, 50% AS slow, so no ad champion can even damage him to stop his splitting, even with bork. No tank can even tank the minions so he cant push because lmao let's give him %ARMOR REDUCTION. 450 armor gnar? Nope. Melted. Can't kite him. Can't stop the minions. Cant damage him. balanced as fuck i guess according to riot

force 4v4 fights, if team doesnt win 4v4 fast enough to return to base it's gg he already got 1-2 towers/inhib, rinse and repeat until no towers left.

Can't even rush baron with kog/cass because he'll already have destroyed your nexus

I'm not even gonna go over nasus counterplay since u don't even know the most obvious one

Falcon Of Death1 votes

"dont reach lategame" is not valid counterplay he had 200 stacks at 40 minutes, he was denied early game cs what part in his kit can you mitigate besides his E by "not standing in it after he drops it under your feet"

TheDesoIation1 votes

but then youre saying all late game champs have no counterplay

Nasus's counterplay is to stay out of melee range of him, it's not very hard.

Even with his wither, all of that distance can be undone by hopping over any wall, hitting Nasus with any knockback, removing wither with QSS, or getting a good root on him.

Nasus isn't even really a lategame champion. No matter how many stacks he has, when it comes to a teamfight the likelihood of there being enough tools to peel him well enough that he can NEVER Q a champion rises dramatically. The stack system basically just means he has to spend an inordinate amount of time freezing lanes and not applying pressure so that his damage can keep pace with the strength of his enemies, that's the reason Nasus occasionally goes through phases where people play him and ignore his stacking so they can instead just spam E for crazy lane pressure.

You can just kite him with range.

If he maxes W first than you can just laugh while rimming your ass all over Nasus's face. Or if they max E then his Q wouldn't do much wonder as he would lose a ton of stacks to AoE. And if he maxes Q still, just kite him out of the minion wave.

Champs who can blind is also exceptionally useful against Nasus, because that denies him from stacking as he misses his Q.

Kite him when he uses his 5s CD, 5s duration, targeted, 99% movement and attack speed slow. Seems legit. Again, "don't let him reach lvl 12 where he has both his Q and his W upgraded at the same time" is not valid counterplay

Nasus doesn't start the game with lvl5 in W and 45% max CDR.

Just pwn him early and delay his late, preferably that his late never arrives as he's too busy trying to catch up in the entire game, like how you would do for ANY late game champion.

.............

Also his attack speed slow is not 99% even at max rank, that's for MS (which is actually 95% if we want to get specific). AS slow is 50% or so, as it's half of whatever the MS slow is (so 47.5% at max rank).

Any other lane game champion has outplay potential in their kit. Nasus has none. You're completely ignoring the fact that there's ZERO way to mitigate anything in his kit, so by reaching X amount of time in the game, it's game over because there's nothing that can be done. That is not a healthy champion and should remain at a sub-par/viable level. Not GGEZ Freelo pick that anybody can first-time and do good with.

You can avoid the entire champ by gunning them down early via ganking and kiting, I'm pretty sure that's all the outplay potential you will ever need.

Nasus doesn't just become a god at X point in the game, his gating is his stacks. That's why denying him of stacks by kiting and ganking him (the latter is not required, but would be nice), he doesn't even have a game anymore. So what's your issue with that?

Falcon Of Death2 votes

So if I hypothetically have 2.5AS on gnar, I'm down to 1.2AS and about 50MS. How am I supposed to kite with that while perfectly timing attack-cancels, having cleaver, and frozen mallet?

Gnar being a champion you don't build AS on, much like every other tank in the entire game, you're going to be down to .5AS, being able to attack once every 2 seconds. I can't straight-line walk away from fucking nasus let alone kite him.

LyingOnLine1 votes

Probably by A) Using your fucking Q. B) Using your fucking E. C) Autoing twice and getting the frankly ridiculous movespeed buff that gives D) Transforming and using your hard CC, as you do

My god, how do you not know how to play Gnar at this point?

Falcon Of Death1 votes

considering I 1-tricked gnar to diamond yeah I know how, fucking bronze My E has a 10s cd and his slow has a 5s cd. Q can be used every 4 seconds and has 1/3 the slow his W does. takes 4 seconds for me to auto attack twice to proc my W. Use hard CC at melee range while 95% slowed , you're not very good at math

UnboundHades2 votes

Are u sure your a diamond gnar? I have never failed to beat a nasus as gnar before

Falcon Of Death1 votes

anybody can kill a bronze nasus lmao

UnboundHades1 votes

U down vote and just assume I'm bronze you are the definition of ignorance

Again, Nasus doesn't start the game with lvl5 in his W. And if he actually leveled it first, it would take him 9 levels to get to that point. And even then, he will be weak as hell because he's put all of his focus on his non-damage spells, so his CS and stacks would be low and he naturally would also have little chances in obtaining the CDR items to get himself going.

This means in that scenario, that Nasus is royally screwed.

Which is why Nasus don't level W first, and this is also why you can just kite him for all you can while his W is still underleveled and push him out of the minion wave. Then all you need is freeze the lane so he doesn't get to farm under his turret and there you go, that's him off the game.

................

If you're melee, you will need ganks tho. But for ranged characters it's very easy, just kite him and bully him.

It's not those even at max rank. The 95% slow and 47.5% AS slow are for just the final second of Wither. It starts off at a 35% slow and 17.5 AS slow, even at rank 5.

Oh, is Nasus worth playing again?

Better complain about Nasus!

Nasus :There is much potential in one life...You have wasted yours complaining on the forums about me being op with 200 stacks against a Gnar.

TheDesoIation1 votes
  1. nasus is only strong mid game and thats if he doesnt get destroyed early
  2. his early sucks really and his late too he cant get to anyone late game and just gets kited easily
  3. and according to your other replies you think that if nasus reaches late game he auto wins makes me think you aren't higher rank than silver
Scary Door1 votes

Nasus is fine.

While it is true that infinite scaling is an unhealthy game mechanic, the nature of League in Season 7 is that games seemingly never go past 30 minutes so I don't really see a problem. If your jungler isn't willing to go and gank to help shut him down and you don't know how to properly keep him from farming then it's on your team---it has nothing to do with Nasus.

Killed A Swan1 votes

NO riot just shouldn't implement toxic mechanics with NO counterplay they should allow hard counters so people dont just get to kill everyone with late nasus because hes broke

Sasogwa1 votes

The As slow doesn't even get to 50% at rank5 last millisecond of the slow
