Increase the max number of rune pages pls. 20 isn't enough for how many champions there are.

Soloq Team Builder Ranked 5s Ranked 3s Aram Dominion Top Mid Jungle Support ADC/Marksman Oh and the fact that the game has over 100 characters....... Even asking for a simple increase to 30 or 40 isn't asking too much especially since it's Preseason. PLEASE UNCLE RITO!

You don't really need that many rune pages....

No, you really do.

I could easily have 10+ rune pages just for mages.

Yeah, if you wanted to get down the the hundredths percentage point. It is entirely possible to play using just two pages, one for AD, one for AP: AD reds, armor yellows, mr blues, and then anything from AD to AS quints for one, mpen reds, armor yellows, mr blues, and then ap quints for the other.

Anything past these is getting down to very niche pages for a champion or match up (that do very little more then a general page)

You could also play without using any rune pages at all, so that argument seems a bit flimsy. The whole idea of having multiple rune pages is to allow players the option of tweaking stats to fit their intended playstyle. For instance, those pages you listed are pretty weak pages for ARAM/Dom. Part of the intent of Riot's itemization (and masteries) update was to allow players to adapt to game conditions instead of following a static item build. Why shouldn't this philosophy apply to runes as well?

Of course, unlimited pages would probably be excessive, both in terms of UI design and in being able to min-max to that extent. Increasing the page limit to 25 or 30 shouldn't be too much to ask though.

On some champions you'll prefer health per level or mana regen yellows

On some champions you'll prefer AP per level blues or CDR blue

You can go for AP quints, MS quints or CDR quints

And then mix it up from there

Those are just a few examples of the variety of rune pages you can have for mages/magic damage dealers

And then you have bruisers, tanks, ad carries, assassins, supports. You have champions that require specific rune pages, too.

I don't think asking for more rune pages is ridiculous. I have 60k IP with nothing to spend it on. If I want more rune pages I should be able to buy more.

You really only ever need two pages for solo queue. Just keep switching the rune pages before game, so that you have the specific runepage for that champ that can preferably run 2+ lanes, just in case you don't get that position. Really, if you go into ranked you might need 5 max runepages for your champ, making a VS ad, vs AP, 3 other positions general runepage. And thats if they don't overlap. ;)

Or just allow us to edit our runes in champ select like we can masteries....

You think they would since some people will just buy more pages with rp if they needed it badly.

You can make a basic rune page for each lane which will work but take into consideration how many champions there are now and to really get the most out of some of them you have to fine tune your runes take Shyvanna Jungle for example, I run full attack speed marks and quints to make her exceptional jungle clear even faster and this is the only champion i use these runes on. There are many other champions I would like to fine tune runes for but to put it bluntly 20 rune pages is not enough, I think with an additional 5 pages I would be content. I like to run runes specific to what i'm matched against if im a mid ap against a mid ad for example i wouldnt want to run health yellows and take armour instead, I like to fine tune my runes at a more advanced level and since im not a pro esports player where i get to stick to 1 lane like the rest of us I have to try and fine tune runes that work for all lanes/roles which means I require more rune pages
