I get its important to protect your carry but the apc can be just as much of a carry as the adc so why can't the apc get it I know this is a probally really easy to answer question i'm probally just being stupid

This is a meta for some reasons.

An ADC scales better with gold/items, while an APC really needs XP (namely, hit 6 early and level skills quickly), so an APC goes to a solo lane, and the ADC gets the Support. The Mid lane is good to go alone for an ADC/APC, since you can stay close to your turret while farming/poking.

Also, an APC usually has more utility or mobility than an ADC does, so the Support can do more things with an ADC.

Some from Google, some from my experience/knowledge, and some might be wrong and/or outdated.

because that is the meta.

Because duo lanes get less exp...and what class do you think is super, SUPER reliant on hitting that level 6?

cause adc usualy has no reliable cc and is much easier to gank than a mage who can land a stun on your head and adc is weaker early than an apc
