Then you're either

1. Playing poke mages wrong, which wouldn't surprise me as you had trouble vs. Cassie as Xerath, one of the few mages that does really well vs. her.

2. Using all your burst on the wrong target.

3. Getting caught out and not respecting their damage.

4. Playing a DPS mage and you'll burn through it anyways.

5. Playing an assassin and not knowing when to properly go in.

The only time it's ever really a problem is when they get ahead.

The person purchasing maw isn't working for it, they just bought an item with great stats and an op passive. By the time the Maw passive pops they probably had the option to just run away so it did its job. Meanwhile I have one finished AP item to match that and it doesn't give enough to burn through the huge shield.

oh i forgot... every single one of those champs you listed can automatically 100-0 all ap champs, and they cannot compete whatsoever, much less ever do the same... all completely regardless of builds and being ahead/behind, especially since defensive ap items don't exist at all in league of legends.

and none of them have to work for their kills either, much less getting to a point where they can 100-0, simply because they're ad champs and not ap ones. and ofc adcs are included in 100-0ing cus autoing someone to death is the same thing... you certainly can't avoid any hits after the first couple.
