I need help from AP Eve players

AP Eve doesn't feel strong. I can't 1v1 high priority enemies or even kill them fast enough playing AP. Playing AD or Off-Tank AD I can but AP Eve doesn't feel Strong enough because while with AD I can use my Q, E, E attack speed buff,R and Auto Attacks, With AP I feel I can only use Q E and R.

Just to be clear I'm talking lane Eve, top, rarely mid. Jungle advice could probably still help unless you're relying on smite for combo damage.

These are some of the build's I've tried out: item 3027 item 3111 item 3025 item 3151 item 3065 item 3742 item 3285 item 3116 item 3151 +3 other items item 3027 item 3100 item 3285 +3 other items

I've been trying to recommended build's suggestion of item 3116 first>item 3151 second. If my team feeds heavily, by the time I get item 3116 I can't deal enough damage with Q to matter. If I rush item 3285 I'm too squishy to stick around long enough to get the kill. I've tried item 3027 into item 3025 but I notice I can't 1v1 anyone that has lifesteal. Pretty much playing a Mundo-like damage sponge at that point.

What AP build gives Eve a good amount of burst? Do I just have to buy all the [Spell Effect] items like: item 3285 item 3151 item 3116 item 3100
because I feel like any mage could do that and it's not something that specifically synergizes with Eve but if there's nothing else then I don't know.

Also what playstyle do you use when playing AP Eve? like aggressive, poking, defensive, mainly ganking squishies, etc.

Eve has received blatant hatred from some of the Devs for quite awhile. About the most help I can give you with the current Eve. They stripped her Jungle domination, and her kit was never designed to lane. Her Ratios are gone, and she scales off of nothing on her own any more. She is only a tank in the idea that you can make her tanky, offering no CC or Utility that an actual tank has.

I dont consider myself an Eve expert by any means, but the entire point of Eve is to assassinate people, and youre building more like a Maokai

Get maximum AP damage items to deal large amounts of BURST damage. Do not buy item 3116 or item 3151 or item 3027

Try rushing item 3152 because its cheap and gives you another nuke to use to BURST. From there get item 3089 item 3100 item 3165 item 3285 not necessarily in that order. I know AP itemization is shit right now but you need to get lots of BURST and AP items.

What you're experiencing is the results of Meddler personally nerfing Eve's AP ratios himself, multiple times. He literally came onto these Boards and said the nerf belonged to him and not the "Balance" team. The reasoning he gave us,"Eve 1-tricks had a 51% winrate." at that time. Her overall winrate was something well below 50% and he literally told us he was personally nerfing Evelynn because Eve MAINS were SLIGHTLY succeeding with her.

Evelynn's AD scalings are much stronger than her AP and building bruiser or off-tank is better for transitioning into later stages of the game. There's a reason her top FOUR most-popular items are all artificial scalings: cause her AP scalings are garbage.

I don't really try to 1v1 people as Evelynn, especially ap eve. I usually only go try to pick people off. And my builds

JG Eve item 1402 item 3742 item 3001 item 3135 Boots of your choice (Sorcs Swifties or Mobi's) and a last item for specific situations (GA Mejais Zhonyas Etc..)

Mid Eve item 3285 item 3001 item 3135 Boots of your choice (Sorcs Swifties or Mobi's) and Two items for specific situations.
