"It's a skill shot. Dodge it noob" "Hide behind minions noob"

When I read these comments do you think my response is: "OMG, never thought about dodging the skillshot thanks for the advice!" or "What if I don't have minions to hide behind in the river? Oh my bad there is the fking rift scuttler. Im a noob haha" ???

No. Just stop. Those advice are useless af. We all know we can dodge it and hide behind minions to avoid getting hit by it. It's not that hard to dodge honestly, but there are SO MANY bubbles I need to dodge and always get punished hard if one hits. It's mentally draining to play against a champion that continuously throws you-get-hit-by-this-you-die skill shots that are sometimes REALLY hard to dodge. (Fog of war wall bubbles. Melee range bubbles etc.)

Even if I dodge every bubble as an Ashe (means literally predicting it's direction and walking the opposite way), because I make one mistake and get hit by one bubble. Zoe lands her combo, instant death. <"mistakes are opportunities you know"> . Ye ye my b not getting a QSS in 15 minutes.

I don't care if you are diamond, GorillA sensei said: "I can't always land skillshots, i'm only human". This can also mean: "I can't always dodge skillshots. I'm only human". I thought Illaoi's E was bad when it first came out. Zoe's E (bubble) takes it to another level.

**I will never stoop so low and buy this champion to play her. Never. Hell I'll even buy a Zoe skin and refund the champion. But I will never buy Zoe to play her. **

It honestly just travels way too fast. The projectile speed needs to be lowered.

LOL. I'm with you brother.

Elise can 100-0 a squishy target by landing all her combo (E, Q, W, <spider form>, protobelt, Q). But I have go pretty near the target with my cocoon. Zoe can do the same thing from far away and with fewer spells. League just isn't fun anymore.

The problem is unseen bubbles. The mechanic for the bubble to travel a lot more distance if it hits a wall is just so annoying to deal with.

To be honest, unless you are a very high elo player with a very fast reaction speed, it is almost impossible to dodge the bubble if you don't know its coming in the first place and just suddenly pops out the wall and hits you.

I mean I won't complain if I was laning with Zoe and I get hit by the E. That's me failing to dodge a skillshot. But getting hit under a turret by a bubble that came out of a jungle, and then getting instantly bursted without even seeing Zoe is a bit too frustrating to deal with!

The worst thing is the bubble remains on the ground for so long and its such a big puddle. It restricts you too much!

People like to compare her to old Nidalee. The truth is though, her long range abilities are even more difficult to deal with than Nidalee's. The damage is probably higher, since she could quite often one shot, which Nid cannot really do.

Of course as a champion Zoe is very different but her E-Q combo design is just so damn annoying!

Pretty much all of the time, Im unaware of Zoe casting her bubble charm, and over half the time Im able to avoid it purely because of my habit of constantly moving as long as I see even 1 enemy champion nearby

This is the issue with a lot of the arguments, especially those on the internet, some people assume a higher stance because whatever stuff they cling to might sound nice at face value, which leads to them believing their words are absolute and superior and they just beat other people with it without any rhyme or reason. It's a lot like the moralist arguments ("it's wrong because it's wrong") in a lot of ways.

"It's a skill shot, hence it can be dodged" is one of them.

Just because something can be dodged, doesn't mean it can't also have no proper counterplay. For example, bullets can be dodged and avoided via various means if you're quick enough on your feet, there are modern combat arts, particularly taught in police and military forces, that teach them how to approach and disable armed individuals while being unarmed or less armed yourself; but ofc, that typically only applies to the opponent welding 'slower' firearms like a typical handgun (or otherwise frontal confrontation becomes highly undesired); for opponent using automatic weapons, sure, you can technically dodge bullets, but you ain't gonna dodge shit when they're coming at you 300+ rounds per minute.

This is the less extreme version of that in League on certain champs like Zoe, ain't nobody is gonna just "dodge the skill shot" every 5 seconds. It's way too mentally straining for the receiver, it's putting the weight of the play interaction almost entirely on the person dodging it and not the person shooting it, and it is also completely contradictory on what it is supposed to be a SKILL shot by being completely devoid of actual skill since landing it is not a matter of precision but a matter of inevitability.

"Dodge the skill shot" is not a universal absolute that can not be challenged and it somehow solves all problem. No.

The problem with her is that she's punished too little for missing any, and rewarded far too much for landing one. It's kind of the blitz hook thing. Throw a hook, miss, whatever, I'll try again later. She's punished even less than blitz is for missing her bubble.

The zone that remains is totally unnecessary and sort of compensates her for missing it because "maaaybe I can still get someone even I was shit with my skillshots". On top of that, when she actually LANDS one, not only she nukes the shit out of someone, she pretty much gets to throws another bubble right after because of the CD refund + CDR. Something needs to go.

Yeah, she's good at killing people. But that is literally the only thing she's good at. Killing people.

She can't push towers fast.

She can't roam alone (unless you're losing so hard your team has 0 wards and can't punish)

She can't wombo combo your team compared to other midlaners (not even close) Viktor Orianna Annie

She can't deal reliable and safe damage (Every single skill she has is either incredibly short range or a telegraphed skillshot, or both, and require her to chain multiple skills just to land one instance of damage)

She can't tank. At all.

She is a shit peeler.

She can only sometimes offer utility item 3107

If you are getting caught by her bubble without doing anything and just dying, she has done her job and you are playing the game on HER terms. It's no wonder why she's winning.

Play a bruiser or play a stampede comp and laugh as Zoe goes 3/11/2 and you win essentially 5v4.

The ONLY reason why she is good is because everyone is building damage on damage and Zoe can punish them 100-0 with a build like that.

Also no one actually respects the sleep. Or at least they don't respect it as much as they should. Getting hit by her sleep is you slipping and hanging off a 500m cliffside with one hand. You are in serious peril. Use your goddamn Zhonya's/Stopwatch, buy a goddamn Maw, tanks should be respecting the sleep and actively looking to block the Star Paddle Q. Yes that's hard in SoloQ I know. She will always be better in SoloQ than competitive for that reason. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Good luck and have a wonderful day

It's almost like making a champion centered around the problems with pre spear nerf nidalee which I believe Riot admitted was a toxic design was a bad idea. Who woulda guessed.

Corrupt Bliss1/31/2018, 4:07:00 AM4 votes

Dude it's like a Xerath stun. There are so many set up abilities in league that allow you to punish, why complain about Zoe's? I could make the same argument and say OMG Blitzcrank has SO many hooks! Just side-step you say? But he hooks every 10 seconds wow I can't dodge that many I'm only human! His hooks set up a kill and go into a knock up and then into a silence! OMG. WHERE IS THE COUNTER PLAY? /s really. Zoe is just another champion that you need to learn to play around.

Cronofuge1/31/2018, 3:25:39 PM4 votes

Just pink ward the nidalee spear come on guys this is classic league knowledge.

Man this argument brings back memories.

I see people are still failing to get gud and dodge a skill shot. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/1q1_nLjuDac/maxresdefault.jpg

The only semi-valid advice is the "Hide behind minions", since it is actually legit advice while in lane. It's the same dealeo as Ahri, stay behind minions and it's going to be real hard for her to land a charm.
