70 percent of my provisional games are troll games

On both my accounts be it on my team or the enemy team someone is trolling and the games are heavily one sided. Many afks and many "idc fuck you guys" players. It devolves into flaming and people giving up. At what point do we all just see that the current system is not good for a 5v5 game with randomly generated teamates?

The ranked system needs to be more individually geared. I believe this will make people try hard no matter what knowing that even if the bot lane is flaming each other and running it down, I can salvage at least my rating.

Yes "eventually you will get to the elo you belong" but thats just not a good way to go about things not to mention those that exp the gold 5 and d5 troths know that there is a MASSIVE skill disparity even in those at the same elo in those divisions as a result of people just grinding thousands of games

The real question is..... why are you doing them today? First 2 weeks + is always garbage tier matchups.

why would it be any better the following weeks? also isnt that a perfect indication of my point where the system is fucked?

First day especially, and usually first week, generally reflects the same experience you get in preseason: Feeders, first time placers, Boosters on alts (Basically Diamond + Smurfs selling boost duos to get good placements), and trolls (people who are indignant toward the community, hard stuck in Gold - Silver - Bronze) who intentionally grief during your placements in hopes of lowering people a few rungs.

They all concentrate their activity toward the beginning and end of seasons.

Furthermore, sometimes the Placement program is very buggy on the onset. Last year for the first week, it was setting random people vs each other rather than people of like skill levels. I won 8/10 that first week, and many of my teams had Plat/Diamond players, and The season before that I was Gold. I placed Gold III.

Then, a week later, Riot saw the randomness of the selections, and chose to reset the ranks! So we had to do our placements again. In the second round, I won 7/10, but the 3 losses were the first 3 games. I got stuck in Silver I on that account. And then..... for about 2 weeks I got nothing but trolls and people who were obviously not Silver/Gold (sometimes 3 Unranked in one game). The boosters were still there with their paid services, and then there were ban-ees from the new auto feedback system leveling new accounts. It was so frequent you couldn't actually play a decent game.

It took until about Valentine's Day to level out. Even then, you still had your occasional out of placer.

Last season was brutal because they did a much harder than normal reset to undo Dynamic queue gutting the ranked ladder. Remember that boosting was practically encouraged in season 6 thanks to DQ which resulted in that complete shit storm when SoloQ was added back season 7.

I agree that season launch is the worst time you can do placements but I don't think anything will ever top the amount of straight up boosted trash that season 6 generated.

Lol, every year i least get reset back to b5 because I’m just barely silver trash. Doesn’t matter if I wait a couple weeks or not. Therefore, I fully anticipate my placements to be utter garbage and I’m prepared to bring a bag of popcorn to at least get free entertainment as I play tonight and trash my rank even further.

Not saying I’m not going to try and I’m just gonna full on troll, just that I literally expect my teammates to be complete trash tier and my opponents to be like high gold and plat.

This is what I had and I waited 4+ weeks last season. I had 3/10 be afkers and 2/10 were troll/feeders won 6/10 in spite of that and got B4 climbed to S3 and expect to see the same.

My Climb would put me in plat if the MMR system would not try and force you to 50% and Trollers were actually punished.
