Please remove champs from the support filter

To start off I am completely fine if people want to play off-meta I'm not arguing against that in anyway with this proposition.

Edit:forgot ashe

When I first started playing league I loved support but was so confused why some champions are classified as a support... the list of current champions in the support filter I don't believe should be there...

Kayle Heimerdinger Gangplank Fiddlesticks Orianna Syndra

All of these champions don't fit for the support role nor the class descriptions as they are all primary damage dealers.

I appreciate any feedback thanks for reading.

Orianna and Kayle can easily be played as a support. Orianna, for example, has a shield/speed boost and her ult is legit for late game team fights.

Of those..... How many of them are support Secondary?

Kayle still does well in support role.... She has heals and speed boost... Slow.... An armor and magic resist reducing passive.... And an invinca ulti.

Quite a few of the others perform more support like functions for the team in later game.... Or early in Gangplank's case, due to his global ultimate.

Orianna is basically a mid lane support. Syndra I'm not too sure about, I suppose she could be used as a support though. Kayle I don't feel fits support anymore(Not even sure she ever did, but I remember at one point they nerfed her top lane to try and make her support better but eventually changed it, or it just didn't do as much good as they thought). Fiddlesticks has been played as support, at one point he was one of the highest win rate supports and I believe was highly picked. He can very well be a support due to his silence and fear. Gangplank, I don't get. I don't see how he could be a support. He's not on the support filter on the boards, you sure he's on there in game? As for Heimerdinger....if you've ever played with a good Heimerdinger support, you'd know how good of a support he can be. I remember one game I didn't back until I had like 3.5k gold and the enemy laner had backed like 3 or 4 times. The jungler couldn't gank us, they couldn't dive us, and he bought a relic shield so his turrets didn't take much of my minions without giving me gold. It was pretty fun being practically untouchable until I eventually had enough of a gold lead to destroy my enemy laner and support. Albeit the last time that happened was a long time ago. Kinda makes me wanna play a Heimerdinger support game, it's pretty fun.

The driving force behind champions having been given a secondary support role in the past is their utility. Kayle has the heal and ult; Fiddlesticks has the fear and silence; Orianna the AR/MR-granting shield, slow and dislacement; Syndra has the stun and displacement; Heimerdinger has the free HP regen aura; Ashe has the stun ult and slows. Gangplank is on there because before his rework, he actually had an AoE buff spell that made him kind of ridiculous if you really did play him there. It was dumb, but damn if it couldn't be effective.

The classifications are old and Riot doesn't really embrace them anymore. They've been trying to update what tags they give champions but it's not quite done yet. Been talked about in some red posts recently.

Also ashe support is pretty legit if she gets stonepact(cant remember the actual name) but her aas apply slows and the mastery allows her adc to heal from those by attacking whoever she slowed and her ult is pretty good too

Agreed, we need to get my sneaky Kayle support off this list so people don't start playing it and it gets nerfed or banned!
