You're Not a Jungler Anymore, You're a Gardener

My first instinct on seeing a plant in the jungle is to just prune the little bastard whether or not I actually need it. Sure, it could be useful later on, maybe even win a fight, but it could also screw me over and I just don't feel like taking that chance.

I just think Blast Cones are funny to use.

It's even funnier when a ranged champ pops them and absolutely nothing happens.

Her Honeyfruit are the only ones I need.

ooooooor you could ward around it to keep them in check for enemy interactions!

Is watching a plant grow fun in real life?

Hige1 votes

neither is watching bushes in order to prevent ganks, your point?

Vision IS a vital part of this game, controlling the map and the objectives is even more important. Plants are mini objectives that you need to keep in mind and play around.

And do you know who should ward every plant spawn point on the map???

Yes! Thats right! Your warding bi... ekhm... I mean - support! If every plant and every objective is not warded blame the support! Who carres that she/he can place up to 4 wards at the same time. You can report her/him anyway!

And vision is more limited than it has ever been in League. Why should I waste a ward to monitor a location that contains a plant, when I could just get rid of it and place a ward where I need it?

While jungling I already have my mind on the mini-map, checking lanes to see which is favorable for a gank, which might be ganked that I could in turn counter-gank, jungle camps, dragon, and Baron. On top of all this is the presence of the other jungler, who I am "laning" against, who may or may not invade, who may or may not counter-gank.

Throwing plants into the mix is just another objective to keep track of, which are trivial compared to other objectives, but could nonetheless shift a fight in someone's favor. It benefits me more to get rid of them instead of watching them and potentially using them when they actually matter.

because it can screw you over, obviously. You NEED wards to monitor things that are dangerous to you, plants apparently are dangerous to you so, monitor them.

exactly

it benefits me more to get rid of them instead of watching them and potentially using them when they actually matter.

If that's your strategy then that's your strategy, the point is that plants are pivotal interactive points in the jungle, because the jungle should act as a lane, ganking will be harder because Junglers will need to focus on their "lane" and their resources, and that's fine, 4v2 in bot is already messy enough.

Ivern but gardening is fun.

Gardening can be a peaceful pastime.

I like how (un)lucky honeyfruit spawn can decide top lane: "oh, i just poked my enemy to half hp and he went ward river so ill just farm peacfully. WAIT why is he at full hp now? oh honeyfruit spewned near top lane... great..."

In fact in lower divisions, i suppose, u should clear them whenever you can just to prevent your teammates from unlucky missplays.

I hope that Riot will just remove them, plants are just another unnecessery layer of gameplay that is imposible to balance in melee vs ranged scenario.
