About Ashe and Infinity Edge

I'm confused, I'm playing with Ash recently. So can anybody explain me :

Does infinity edge's passive work on Ashe?

If it does, is it really cost efficient?

Because I tohught infinity edge's passive didn't work on Ashe, I'd buy 2 phantom dancers that are cheaper and give more crit strike chance. Or am I making a mistake there?

Sorry if thi's been discused before, but I don't understand, thank

pd: this is how I builded Ash: item 1300 or item 1330 + item 3046 item 3072 item 3071 as core (order depends on matchup, + another item 3046 or item 3172 or item 3153 or item 3156, so two of those 4 last items depending the match. is it too messed up withouth infinity edge?

The passive works since ashe empowered attacks are considered critical strikes for game purposes (coded that way)

From the wikia... item 3031 I will add 30% AD bonus damage - 20(critical chance) × (1 + 0.5(critical chance bonus damage)). item 3046 increases the aforementioned to 82.5% AD bonus damage - 55(critical chance) × (1 + 0.5(critical chance bonus damage)). With 100% critical strike chance and item 3031 Infinity Edge's bonus critical damage, you will deal 150% AD bonus damage 100 × (1 + 0.5).

I think IE multiplies even more and its core because of it. I read something about it when Ashe was reworked

Yeah it does, it's very strong on Ashe and Yasuo right at this stage.
