Well, considering kassadin is known for burst, and you were playing/built as a glass cannon, A- you should know to be careful of his threat range, or B-blocked his full combo w/ your ulti (if it was up).
Thats like staying in a syndras ulti range when she has a bunch of orbs on the ground and you are below 60% hp, it was a misplay by you.

FYI this kassadin charged his R, you can see this since he was 1/2 of mana
and he was oom after he killed you and couldn't cast R anymore if someone was here he would have been punished
also with that experience, next time you're against kassadin press R
